  i just spoke to an old jw friend i grew up with in the truth, he went to bethel, and now dfd and i havent spoke to him in 28 years, hes doin fine and like us, saw the bullssssst first hand, we were ms together.. big d.

  it has been said that if you can count the number of friends you have on one hand, you are fortunate.figures of speech in the org are "the friends".

  this being the case in a "brotherhood of love", then the statement i cited is debunked, is it not?

  wouldn't we therefore need thousnads of hands, an infinite number of friends?

  Longevity and being friends is what I share with my wife. 17 years of longevity and friendship and growing together. Having a child together and sometimes we hurt eachother.

  True friendship. I look back with fondness on special people with love...So many years have passed and we have lost contact. But for variouse reasons my love and respect for them has grown 10 fold.

  They are true friends who belong in a time and a place that is in the past. I remmber them.

  Even today I have true friends...Even (Especially ) because I dont deserve them.

  Have I ever been a true friend to anybody. Yes because true friends have accepted me for being a lousy friend and never given up on me.

  The measure of true frienship. A silly example but Christmas cards come from people who remember me and maybe if I wasnt so lasy and uninterested I would have rememberd them.

  H i Susan

  I had the priverlidge of meeting to of the Greatest -Guys... both Morman ministries. Also I remember to Sisters as very non- judgemental and dedicated.

  . But It was sad to recently have met to missionaries who were just so unenthusiastic of there asignment. (Certainly not interested in me as a person posing sincere questions)

  As for the "Book of Morman" a wise man once said to me "Theres no such thing as a bad book only a badly read book" Someday I Hope to read the book of Morman.

  Tough Question.

  Today I guess it would be FREEBIRD by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Tomorrow I guess it would be FREEBIRD by Lynyrd Skynyrd and the day after ect ect.

  early christians chose to be thrown to the lions rather than renounce there taith.

  my story is the opposite i observed my congregatioon as a pack of wolves.

  and i observed the big bad wolves were usually the elders.

And I observed the big bad wolves were usually the elders. I have concluded that in society most men see themselfs as inadequate. I Belive the K.H provides a outlet through which certain men usually elders can feal masculine and important. The trouble is the outlet these inadequate men use is a fantasy world. A. Take away there K.H B.Take away there power....and they would get the scence of there own unworthiness. I have concluded its a dangerouse and pointless exercise trying to reason with a Elder and there egotistical malice. Sadly I have observed the rest of the congregation is nothing more than a colective pack of wolves. The above is my reason for being here and I therefore dedicate my story to my former congregations with love and thanks. As a former lurker of this board I hope I Havnt thrown myself to the lions !!! Joking I HOPE.

  i just read "a question of concience" by former cathlic priest charles davis it paralels rays struggle.. the book was read by ray before he wrote and titled "a question of concience".

  anybody read "a question of concience".?..

  his similar situation to rays was interesting and the knowledge contained in the book insightful..
