I hate the CO
by superman inso i was talking to my mother the other day, and she was distressed because she was saying that if my little sister isn't baptized or working toward it by the time she's 18 (which is coming up soon) she may have to move out (more then likely she'll move in with me and my girlfriend, or my older sister if that happens).
my little sister is a great kid (high honor roll, no trouble, hard worker, etc), that many parents would be grateful to have.
i asked my mom, why would they take parenting advice from a guy who doesn't (and hasn't) ever had kids?

Hey VM44, I'm not sure what his name is I don't really got to the meetings anymore, and my parents are in a different area from me anyway. But I figure if they keep going like this, there will be no kids left.

Life has been good and getting better. It's been about two years or so since I left the "troof" and couldn't be any happier. When I left I faded (for the sake of family still in). I just finished one degree and am working on another, I recently went to a "witless" gathering and saw all the old buddies I used to run with while I was still in, and after seeing and hearing how miserable many of them are, I couldn't be any happier that I left. My GF (a born in JW), has also left and she couldn't be happier!

So I was talking to my mother the other day, and she was distressed because she was saying that if my little sister isn't baptized or working toward it by the time she's 18 (which is coming up soon) she may have to move out (more then likely she'll move in with me and my girlfriend, or my older sister if that happens). My little sister is a great kid (high honor roll, no trouble, hard worker, etc), that many parents would be grateful to have. I asked my mom why they would kick her out if she's not giving them any trouble, but just isn't baptized? Well I guess they had the CO recently, and he told my elder dad that if she (as an adult) is living with them and not baptized that it would be a poor example and he would most likely have to step down. I thought "Wow, you've got to be shiting me"! Is this guy for real??? I asked my mom, why would they take parenting advice from a guy who doesn't (and hasn't) ever had kids? In fact the CO I don't think has ever even been married (so of course he knows alot about families). I guess I don't understand why so many people listen to these dirtbag CO's (when it comes to their kids) when none of them have kids themselves. I told my mom him giving you parenting advice is like a poor person giving a rich person investment advice. I hate the CO

JW marriage are they real
by Luo bou to inusually we marry someone we know and love as a person.
my marriage 20 years broke up after i began to question my faith in the wt my wife was so fearfull.
so was i: i did not want to believe that i had been deceived but i could not deny what i learnt and continue to live a lie in the so called truth.

Well, I think they are real, it's just a JW marriage has different things that its couple have to deal, many things that most outside or "wordly" marriages don't have too. For starters most JW's get married at an alarmingly young rate mainly to legitimize having sex (it's natural for someone 18 or 19 to have increased interest in sex due to hormones) but most individuels don't have the maturity or life skills to make a marriage or family work at that young of an age. Addtionally all "born-in" JW's are taught from a young age that nothing (including close friends and family) come before the almighty Jehovah, thus making it hard for a couple to have loyalty for one another. Also much outside interference from elders and others can also take a major toll on any strong relationship. And another sad but true fact is that many JW's have low self-esteem, I've been around the ORG my entire life, and left but noticed (as someone from the outside looking in) that a large number of JW's have a low self-worth (from being continually told to do more, or never being able to obtain level of accomplishment or sucess), thus you take two people who have a low self-worth (who may not even respect themselves) and try to get them to encourage and stand behind one another, it is near impossible for sucess.

Newbies
by choosing life inwhen will this site be opened up again to new ones?
there don't seem to be any moderators here to annoy and the pace has really slowed down.. new ones often have fresh perspectives on things.
any news on when registration will reopen?.

I sure hope they let new ones on soon! I've been a reader for a while but didn't start posting until a just little while ago. Its almost encouraging to hear or see new one on the site (to know that more and more are leaving the JW's)!

Vote:DO you think the WTBTS will end with a BANG or a WHIMPER
by superman inpersonally i think it will end with a whimper.
i think that they will always have members, but after the "system" continues and more and more people get discouraged, df'd, da'd, or fade after a long enough time they will slowly continue to consilidate halls (lose members) until it finally get so small they eventually go by the wayside or switch to something like e-meetings or web-meetings or once yearly conventions.
any takers??

7 Congregations in My Area, VT, MA, NH, Have Been Cut to 3!!!
by Seeker4 ini got this verified today.
seven congregations that were in my old circuits now are only three.. north and south gardner, ma were merged.. north and south claremont, nh were merged.. north adams, ma and bennington, vt were merged.. the wilmington, vt congregation was dissolved.. there has been discussion to merge the keene and swanzey, nh congregations, but there are some strong personalities among the two bodies of elders opposing that, so it is not likely to happen, though i hear that keene has got some big problems in its boe and very poor service, etc.. that's 9 congregations within about a 70 mile radius that are all seeing some serious trouble.. anyone hearing anything similar happening where they are?.

Superman was a Jehovah`s Witness??!!............How`s Lois?..
...OUTLAW
She doing OK, we had to break things off (on account of not being married) and dating to long! Plus, the whole fighting crime and saving the world also got in the way of personal study, the meetings, and field service. I shouldn't have tried to save the world, I should have just left it in Jehovahs hands!!!!LOL
