I think that my wife is maybe turning the corner !!!

my wife has been softening up this past year.

she is missing more meetings for very feeble excuses.. i think that she is a little envious on meeting nights as she rushes around the house trying to get.

ready for the meeting, to hear the same things she has heard for the past 20 years, and i am in front.

Mine quit me and she is still JW keeping our daughter (21 months old).

Sometimes it's very hard to think about my daughter in a Kingdom Hall and I can't do anything.

It's hard for me to believe that with 10 years of the Internet, the access to huge amounts of reliable, accurate, negative WTS info online in 1st World countries, and the idiocy of WTS policy and lack of leadership during this time, that there would be a positive shift like this.

And what about the demography in the World ?

And you know that a lot of JW make websites to preach now. More than the ones who are Ex-JW.

Now, with this report, there is ONLY ONE COUNTRY (Lichenstein) out of ALL of those, that has negative growth! Japan, Denmark and Poland report no growth, but all the rest are in positive numbers. The US had an increase that amounts to about 3 new publishers in each congregation. That really surprises me.

It's mathematic. When you have decrease for many years, a short increase shows you a + but it doesn't mean a big change. For example : In France, the figures stay the same for many years (around 120 000 publishers) but 600 disapeared in the wild this year. And think about that a lot of teenagers were engaged to baptism. It's endogenous.

Compare to the Pentecotist's growing, JW are kids. You can't stop the preaching, but you can save your reason...

Creationist don't assume that is possible to die without nothing after...and they can't cope with this idea. That's why they try to prove that Bible is accuracy. But OF COURSE they can't admit others gods exist like Vishnu, Quetzacoatls and Monster Spaghetti ! (So schoking...)

Reboot a system is maybe to hard for them. I understand now why the Matrix takes place in America...

and straight on through the time of noah's flood, almost as if they didn't notice the factthat they were all being drowned and their civilization was being destroyed.

That the flood was local.
I know that Farkel will dissagree with that statement vehemently.
Just stating another theory as to why the pyramids survived the ''flood''

1/ There is no legend about a global flood in Egypt

2/ There is no evidence of a global flood in the world

3/ The Global Flood is a text coming from a human head without knowledge about how was the world (and the impossibility for a kangaroo to swim)

there are many new ones on this board who may not have seen this.

my old friend alan feurerbacher who has done an unbelievable amount of scholarly research on many subjects must have spent about two or three thousand years researching virtually every aspect of the biblical flood story, and am providing the link to this subject (together with links to other excellent work by him).

it's long and detailed and definitely not for those who get bored with more than four sentences of information and sound bites.

Every people who think that the flood was local and not global are Euhemerist and they should read Cults, Myths and Religionby Salomon Reinach.

Because it's stupid to find history in the myth. It's like to say Pegasus was a real horse galopping so fast that everybody thought it was like a horse-winged. It killed the beauty of the legend and the method is not good.

The Golden Bough of James Frazer is in the same way.

What really would have been impressive is if the Bible had said the earth is a sphere and is held in place by the pull of gravitational forces and proceeded to give an outline of the law of gravity. That I would consider being divinely inspired.

And it would excuse the genocide made by Joshua ? and the others absurdities and anachronims ?
