's to "encourage" their pre-pubescent children to "dedicate" themselves to the org by being baptized!.

not only does the bible dismiss such a false directive, the org's own insight book dismisses the suggestion that such young ones are mentally able to make such a decision!

i am not a regular visitor to this site, every now and then then i get twisted up about something i come back lol.

i am sure this has been discussed many times so a link to another thread would be great or if someone has the patience to explain again please?

i have read the july 15 2013 wt many times but i simply don't understand the significance of 1919 from the bible.

Thanks everyone. Some really helpful stuff here that I will take a lot of time to read and try to disect when I have a few spare hours! I know it is rubbish but it is the straw that broke the camels back for me in realising I simply can't accept this is the truth. Therefore in my own mind I want to understand it inside out as much as is possible. I suppose you could say it will ease my conscience if I can say I have looked at it from every angle and know for a fact I have not been misled by wicked apostates or my own sinful 'independent thinking '

I have read the July 15 2013 wt many times but I simply don't understand the significance of 1919 from the BIBLE. When I have asked an elder about this I was told the understanding is retrospect but can someone please explain what the watchtower is actually claiming was prophesied about and fulfilled in that year?

Did judge Rutherford piss off Hitler

the jws at the time in germany where considered part of the aryan race, (since they were not jews).

then things changed for the jws after rutherford mailed a letter to hitler bragging about jehovahs kingdom on earth.. so can we add this to the bloodshed that that the watchtower corp is responsible for?.

I totally agree with Daniel1555 but can someone please show me where Rutherford first tried to appease Hitler? I have heard of it before but never seen evidence. What was the timing involved? Was it know what Hitler was doing at the time and what was Rutherford's motivation at the time of trying to appease him?

they have asked me to really think about the provision of the ransom sacrifice.

in doing so i have gone back to basics and have already hit a few questions i am thinking of raising.

In doing so I have gone back to basics and have already hit a few questions I am thinking of raising. I know I tend to think a little off the wall so would be interested in your ideas before looking very silly in my next study :)

So, Satan was the instigator of sin not Adam but Satan was not sentenced to sickness and suffering. I realise he doesn't have a physical body so can not expirience physical pain but that raises the question of why humans need to suffer pain? We tell people that Jehovah doesn't cause suffering but making a wrong moral decision (rebellion against Jehovah ) could only lead to physical decay if that is what God chose, hence is he not in fact the cause of human suffering?

Taking that a separate further, what about animals? If they are not affected by the rebellion why do they suffer? I can accept it was never God's plan for them to live forever but why do they go through so much pain and sickness? Is this part of the perfect creation? If so then maybe physical suffering isn't so appalling to God?

Of course most of you don't believe in any of this stuff anymore but if you will houmour me I am interested in what sort of response I will get if I ask this question?
