  WT & Awake Subscription Procedure

  i moved into a new area several months ago, and my subscriptions to the watchtower and awake magazines expired.

  (note: i'm baaad, not attending meetings in my new area.).

  so it'd be easy to renew my subscription, right?

  does anybody find this a bit intriguing?

  i found this old favorite song of mine.

  take it for what it's worth.

  a day-brightener, yes, a cure-all, no.. this beautiful song was used as background music in one of charlie chaplin's silent pictures over 70 years ago, which i believe was called "modern times".

  i just got home from the very first minnesota evil apostates night (mean).

  we wonder if similar apostate nights out have been held elsewhere.. we daringly held this mini-convention (8 in attendance) at a smoky bar somewhere in minneapolis.

  JW walks away from job; files complaint

  raymond jones filed a complaint after having angrily stalked off his job during the 1998 holiday season, never to return, at a shoppers drug mart in vancouver, british columbia, because his boss told him to set up artificial poinsettias in a seasonal display, which he took as a directive to support the abhorrent idea of "christmas" (he is a jehovah's witness).

  well, i've been "outside" for a year now.

  those pesky "expiring subscription" slips have reached me.. how many think it's beneficial to have a subscription, just to keep tabs on what's going on in the wt world?

  i'm trying to get a clear "take" on this:.

  the wts has often implied that their form of missionary work, concentrating on "preaching and teaching", is superior to that of christendom's.

  christendom often starts out by bringing food supplies, hospitals and the like, supposedly "enticing" the natives with material goodies.

  i sure am impressed!

  for the most part, the people out here treat each other the way i had hoped those inside the new world society would.
