  I am trying to understand my cat

  like i said on a previous thread, this is my first cat.

  this cat always follows me around and demands to be petted all of the time.

  he wants to be carried all of the time.

  Here is a list of poisonous foods for cats. I just found this. It's not complete though. I've heard Garlic and Chocolate are also very poisonous. Just thought I'd mention it. One time my younger kitty got into chocolate and I called the vet and they had me bring him in and they gave him something to make him throw up to get the chocolate out of his tummy. He didn't throw up until I got home and all over the place.

  Oh yeah it's not by holy spirit that the Elders make there decisions. I don't know if I ever even thought that. It's been soooo long I have forgotten so much about what they do and have blocked some stuff out I think from my memory. I did also find out that one of the elders that was involved with disfellowshipping me was on a rampage to disfellowship someone else this last year and it seemed out of control and they asked him to step down and he did. So really they are all just human and not being led around by the holy spirit. I myself though am not mad about it. I could have prevented it but it was my choice not to prevent it from happening. I really have no ill will against JW's. I just would like to have friends who know what it's like to be in my shoes.

  I'm so sorry about your wife's mom. That's really sad. It's nice that your family has come together again for Christmas. I just don't think I'll ever get into Christmas really.

  lol... well I didn't do porn but I did talk to an elder on the phone just one time. I admitted over the phone what I had done. So apparently that was enough. Seems sort of odd really since I never met with anyone just that one phone call. So I guess you could say I didn't try to defend myself as in being a liar like some do to get out of that. I just told the truth.

  Now that I talk to others who knew about the situation apparently the elders who were involved with my situation said they would have never disfellowshipped me if they had known the whole story.

  I think my situation with being disfellowshipped was different. I did nothing to defend myself. I didn't care if I got disfellowshipped. I really wanted out. I see immediate family members doing the same things I did many years ago and they are not being disfellowshipped but they are doing whatever they can to cover themselves and make sure they don't get shunned by the family.

  So do any of you celebrate the holidays? I did for 9 years about trying to fit in with my husbands family. I think the JW thing still is messing with my head it always felt weird doing it. Just not natural since I was raised against it. The last 3 years I stopped just because it seemed so materialistic. It's been all about give me this give me that. I could see doing it to help people and giving to those less fortunate. I think it should be about helping people.

  That's true they can research so many things on the internet. I wonder if that's why so many more JW's are leaving. My sister who was involved until just a couple years ago was telling me how there are so many JW's leaving these days. When I was growing up we were not allowed to even look at anything that might contradict what they tought. Now it's so easy to just search the internet. I don't believe a lot of what I read on the internet though. But it gives a person an open mind. I had serious doubts when I was a teenager about the validity of the JW's even without the internet.

  Thanks for requesting me as a friend in myspace.

  Speaking of myspace, I've seen comments on here about JW's and that they are not supposed to have them. I'm so out of touch with what they do these days. So they are against myspace? That explains why when I told my mom who is still a JW to get a myspace account she wouldn't but she never explained why. There are 3 of us siblings me my sister and my brother that are not JW's anymore. She doesn't really talk to us about the religion anymore.

  But then I also have 2 brothers that are Elders. The family is pretty split.

  Thanks, it will be nice to talk to people who know what it's like. No one understands unless they have been through this.
