Hebrews 1:3 (English Standard Version)
3 He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power.
Colossians 1:15-19 (New International Version - UK)
The Supremacy of Christ
15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
16 For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.
17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.
19 For God was pleased to have all his fulness dwell in him
If all the fulness of God dwells in the Son then Jesus is God, nothing less.
Blessings in Christ,
Stephen

I just believe the bible
Ephesians 2:8-10 (English Standard Version)
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Hi JWNers!
I had the opportunity to speak to a Witness aquaintaince today. The Lord had put him on my heart some years ago. Eventually we talked about faith, and I asked him about his. He offered the following.
- Armageddon was not likely imminent. He knew about the 1975 debacle and had been hearing the same message for far too long to believe it.
- Refusing blood could well be wrong and "new light" might be on the way. He had recently received a court order to allow his sibling a blood transfusion and was not unhappy about it.
- The "new light" on "this generation" had brought more questions of the WT doctrines. The 1914 generation were indeed dying out and nothing had come to pass as had long been fortold.
- No birthdays was probably a silly rule but he was happy enough to go along with it to keep the peace.
- Similarly, unspoken rules such as "no beards".
So I told him about my own faith. We went around the peripheries a bit (blood, the Father's name etc.) but I quickly brought it back to Jesus. We had a liitle ping pong with the scriptures but interestingly the more I persued the doctrine thing, the more I saw the stone walls of the WT.
What was most frustrating that he can see the WT is clearly flawed in many respects but still believed the WT propaganda, they have "the truth", no-one else is doing the preaching and such.
Anyhow, the cracks are there and seeds had been sown in the dry ground and watered. I need to watch and pray for growth 1 Corinthians 3:7. I can do nothing by myself John 15:5
So I trust you all are well :)
Blessings in Christ,

The Clear Biblical Case Against "The Memorial".
by Chalam inhello jwners,.
i was reading acts 20 the other day and noted how it makes a clear case against the annual "memorial" as instructed by the wt.. acts 20
paul in macedonia and greece6 but we sailed away from philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and in five days we came to them at troas, where we stayed for seven days.. eutychus raised from the dead7 on the first day of the week, when we were gathered together to break bread, paul talked with them, intending to depart on the next day, and he prolonged his speech until midnight.. .

So according to the Jun 15 WT, Jesus ransom sacrifice only applies to the anointed class a.k.a the GB.
by onemore inive noticed for a while now (especially at the assemblies) the frequent use of the term: jehovahs friends whenever they referr to the second class christian, ahem....great crowd, aka the non-anointed christian with earthly hope.
even in some wt studies they often throw in phrases like seeking friendship with jehovah, our friend jehovah, etc.
so, the subtle message is clear, the great crowd are not children of god, they are friends of god.

Good to see you as ever wasblind!
ListenerGreat scriptures Stephen but they even have that covered by saying the greek scriptures were written for the annointed.
The scriptures speak for themselves. Let he who has ears hear what they have to say, not the WT lies!
See below, emphasis added.
John 1:9-13 (New International Version 1984, ©1984)
9 The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.
10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
Galatians 3:22-29 (New International Version 1984, ©1984)
22 But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.
23 Before this faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. 24 So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ [ a ] that we might be justified by faith. 25 Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law.
Sons of God
26 You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

12 Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation—but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. 13 For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, 14 because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 15 [ a ] And by him we cry, “Abba, [ b ] Father.” 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship.

Was Jesus' sacrifice really necessary? Or even a sacrifice at all?
by AiAi indoes it make sense that after adam ate of the fruit god would condemn all of mankind until jesus sacrificed himself?
does 1 perfect person's sin really equal 1 perfect person's sacrifice plus billions of imperfect peoples death and suffering?.
jesus' sacrifice to save mankind really was not a sacrifice at all if he knew he would be raised up after 3 days.. .

Only if that person is God
Acts 20:28 (New International Version, ©2011)
28 Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, [a] which he bought with his own blood. [b]

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 Corinthians 4:4 (New International Version 1984, ©1984)
4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
Jesus' sacrifice to save mankind really was not a sacrifice at all if he knew he would be raised up after 3 days.
Jesus' sacrifice went well beyond being absent from His body for three days.
Philippians 2:5-8 (New International Version 1984, ©1984)
5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in very nature [ a ] God,
did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
7 but made himself nothing,
taking the very nature [ b ] of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
and became obedient to death—
even death on a cross!Footnotes:

Isaiah 50:6 (New International Version, ©2011)
6 I offered my back to those who beat me,
my cheeks to those who pulled out my beard;
I did not hide my face
from mocking and spitting.Isaiah 53:3-7 (New International Version, ©2011)
3 He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.4 Surely he took up our pain
and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to our own way;
and the LORD has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.7 He was oppressed and afflicted,
yet he did not open his mouth;
he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
so he did not open his mouth.Blessings in Christ,
