We hung a large american flag on our house. I must say it looks real nice esp when it waves. I hope they do my street soon in the door to door work and ole glory waves at them proudly.

It looks like I will become an elder this week!

as i told you before, they boe have been considering me for the eldership.
which i don't care for, but since my family is stuck in this cult, i guess i can use the new position to help them see that the holy spirit has nothing to do with me being an elder.

I think you are acting like a hipocrite. You are no better than the society if you take the position as an elder. You seek one thing outside of the org yet bow to their teachings while you attend the cults meeting. It does not matter if you are trying "to help " ones who are still in.

Religion - adventure or betrayal?

I cannot believe this
by bite me inokay, it is like this... i have a friend who's belief is so strong in the watchtower.
they have missed "several" (three) meetings.
they said they do not want to get into trouble for missing so many.

Jw's love to use the guilt trip. When I was still attending there was always the nosey elder and the elders'wife. If I missed a meeting they would always approach me and ask Why. I started to duck and run after a while when I saw them coming so they changed tactices and began calling on the phone. I was so glad when we got caller ID

you could get hot fresh doughnuts and burgers.

ANXIETY. The first thing we did after trying to find a seat (there where never any seats, good ones that is. We would be there when the doors opened and many of the seats where saved. They always gave talks saying you could only save seats for the ones riding in your car yet still no seats-a pet peeve of mine),I would check the program for 2 things, LUNCH and Quiting time. I could not stand assemblys. BORING
