I think they all look really stupid cramed into a minivan, 6-7 large adults. We had a few in my hall that were so overweight the poor vehicle leaned to one side. It was a sight to see these large older ladies climb out of the very back row to do a door and then cram their large bottoms back in.

Immigration Laws
by ColdRedRain inimmigration laws .
bilingual programs in the schools are prohibited.. *************** there are no bilingual ballots for citizens that speak a different language from the majority of citizens.. ************** all government business will be conducted in the language of the majority of the population.. *************** non-citizens are not allowed to vote.. *************** foreign nationals, even if naturalized, are not allowed to run for office.. **************** foreign nationals, even if they gained citizenship, are not allowed access to government programs.. ***************** foreign nationals may invest in this country, but it must be 40k more than the minimum wage.. ***************** foreign nationals may buy property, but beachfront property is only reserved for citizens.
if you wish to buy beachfront property, you should try to naturalize yourself, which would include the revocation of your previous country's citizenship.

The USA need to adopt the Mexican policy. The bottom line is, if you are not legal then no benifits.

There are so many to list but I think the major one is I feel good about myself. I can say that Iam enjoying life each and every day. I look forward to each sunrise and have hope. In contract when I was a practicing dud my life was robotic and my feelings were numbed or had much anger. I smile and laugh now. IT FEELS GOOD.

How many were strongarmed by elders over inheritance, etc?
by avishai inon another thread, i saw how elders were after someone for money as soon as someone died in their family, more than once.
this happened to my mom for years after my dad died, insurance settlements, lawsuit settlements, they wanted as much as they could possibly squeeze from a widow with three kids.
anyone else see this?

We were approached for money on numerous occasions. Hubby use to take care of Literature with another MS. This MS use to call my husband xxx(his name) big bucks. I would get so mad. He would ask for loans and say I sure wish I had an extra 10,000. My husband has a freaking job- this joker was lazy and worked when he felt like it but usually he made his sick wife who was battling cancer(breast) climb ladders and paint houses. He also said his dinner had to be on the table at 6 pm sharp. His wife should have kicked him to the curb, lazy bastard!!!

I would go down to the sherriffs office and put a restraining order on each and every member of the cong. They were to stay away from my kids. If that did not work a basball bat on a dark night might do the trick.

sport vs religion
by smiddy init came to me while i`m watching afl today ( ozzie football ), back in the 60`s / 70`s during the football season many bro`s elders and ms plus the r&f would have transistor radios glued to their ears listening to the commentary of the main game with one ear and the other taking in the scheduled program.
of the district assembly .was this just an ozzie experince ?
or did it happen in europe (soccer ) & usa (baseball / gridiron ) i know i did sneak out to a pub to watch the grand final one year then came back for the final program a little guilty.

I did it back in the early's 90's when the Dallas Cowboys had a great team. The best games always came on Sunday early afternoon and we had the 1 pm meeting.

Myu husband got called into the back room because of me. When we were still in JW Land I did not join the TM school in our new hall. I knew it was all bogus and was fading. The elders asked me why I did not join and I just said, "not open to discussion" and walked away. They got upset and took the husband aside and they told him to get his wife in line. He told them that his wife is her own person and will do what she likes. He walked away and they have not touched that subect since.

If there is such a thing as "ONE TRUE RELIGION...
by JH inif there is such a thing as "one true religion", then lots of good honest god loving people will die at armageddon.. although jw's don't gamble, chosing the correct religion, if there is one, is a gamble.. .

Right on lovelylil, you said a mouthful. Religion is all man made. There is some corruption in each and everyone. I think one has to make their own way and not relie on organized religion.
