  i remember growing up we were told not to voice our fears outloud, lest satan hear them and use it against us during the gt.

  as a result i grew up pretending i wasn't afraid of anything, that i was the strong one, which is sooooo far from the truth!

  lol i have learned that i am stronger than i thought i was, but there is a part of me that just once would love someone else to deal with the fears and tell me it's all going to be ok. .

  my dumba$$ neighbor who does not like to mind his business. A real creep. He even enjoys poisoning my garden and english ivy ground cover. As a witness we were taught to be mild and keep turning the other cheek. Well, Iam not a witness anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The reason I ask is I have been talking with my younger sister who is still a dub. I have gone over with her the doctrinal flip flop, failed prophecys. We are now starting on the pedophile issues. Any help in this dept will be appreciated.

  sorry if the title is obtuse, i couldn't think what to call this.. i was thinking about all the rationalizing and downsizing going on in the organization.

  it strikes me that they know they have the die hards whatever they do.

  even if they reduced the meetings to 5 minutes per week and named mickey mouse the president .

  Look at the mind set of most JW's. they are content to be janitors, painters, carpenters. These professions (I use the term loosely) do not make you use much of your grey matter. The JW's like to be told, What to think, How to think. Heck, they have to be told when to stand and when to sit at the meetings, assemblys etc. For the most part they have no ambition, sad but true. Yes, I know there is the occasional exception but it is few and very far between. What part of your life do they NOT control- I cannot think of any. They have a say in the your personal support (job), marriage including sex, raising children, how to dress, grooming including hair. The kind of car to drive(no 2 door cars). The list goes on and on.

  if the "truth" keeps changing shouldn't they call it "in search of the truth"?

  an orange is always an orange, and apple always an apple they do not change.

  so how is it "truth" can change?

  i know it was just announced yesterday about the bs change to cbs (congregation bible study) merging soon with tms & sm.

  but that's old news to us (hee-hee).

  what your speculation of the next change?

  they will want more riches so the rank and file had better cough up some series cash $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. There will be more restructering to reduce burden and overhead so to make more profit. After all, the whole borg is run just like a business corp and the bottom line is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

  it took a long time, but i can finally say i'm out and i took my family with me.. this is my first post but i have been reading here for a while.

  i was brought up a witness, in a family that was very 'strong' (or so everyone thought).

  i didnt have a relationship with my perents at all other than the 'family study'.

  Elders the richest-Ha Hardly. Most of them are painters or janitors, carpenters. You will find very few professional JW's. There are exceptions but most have not attended college.

  i saw a show on it not that long ago and it looked like fun - same as gem mining in nevada.

  too much work for me. There is much gold in the mountains around me. They still find some north of here in Dalonega Ga
