Iam in aggrement with all the posts. JW's are told they serve a happy God so they must be happy. In reality, they are not which is what leads to all the frustration and depressed ones. It is a vicious cycle.

like an awful lot of people on this site i have spent far to much time trying to rationalise my thoughts and my journey as a human being.

i have been to places of deep despair and resurfaced looking the same, months or even years later but the internalised paul changed.

How did you REALLY feel when you where out in field service?

i never felt comfortable knocking on door and i hoped no one would be home.

my presentation was short and to the point because i did not want to get into discussions.

as we walked from "door to door" i secretly wished i could be like all the ones i saw in the nighborhood.

Great posts guys. When I read each and everyone of your experiences I can relate to them all. We were all in the same boat and we got off that sinking ship. Yea, I really enjoy my saturdays now, no predetermined plans. It is great, sleep in,nice breakfast and off about town or maybe some sports activity. It is wonderful to be free from that cult and Iam sure you would all agree.

I agree with you wholeheartedly Alltimejeff. I felt like all we did was push JW literature on people. There where few times when people actually used the bible. And if they did use "the good book" they only cited the scriptures from that months KM.
