it is indeed disturbing to see how opposed you are to letting the magnificent things coming from the stables of the Slave to be published earth wide. I have a question about stumbling. Why does it take 6 months to a year to convince someone to become a Witness, but a simple word choice distinction would "stumble" them? Do they think something like this: Oh my God, they used the wrong words, I'm outa here.
I could comment on a whole lot of stumbling issues, that just don't make sense to me, but that's enough for now.Dear Sir,

letter i have prepared, but not sent yet.. part of my recovery from the damaged caused from membership in the cult has been to be open and honest as to who i am, was and what i was involved in.. so i gave him the letter to read, and he gave it back today, two weeks later, and said:.
"i told my wife, if they ever come knocking at our door, tell them to leave, and if they won't, call the police".

Thanks Dino. This link, plus the "Their Refuge - A lie" Watchtower article posted (I think) by messenger has ben an explosive combination. Of course, hawkaw's incredible work on the UN project is amazing... I've been looking at these threads... I just sent the link to a friend who wanted something more about the Wachtower and the UN. The link is a clincher... the Watchtower, outdoing all those other organizations not only in the number-of-languages department, but also in the number of magazines distributed. It was indeed a Long Job finished by the Watchtower. Thanks again.

your guess is entirely in error. While it is presumpttuous to suppose that God's organization does not understand the geopraphical and political realities of the English people and those inhabiting the islands around their shores, it is also unbecoming to insinuate that the Society would attempt a denigration of not only the people of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, but also the fine christian brothers living in those lands.
The bible clearly shows that as true christians we ought to watch how we talk and walk, and in accordance with this fine scriptural principle, the aim has been, not to stumble those of our brothers and the world who might understand the word 'Great' differently. As you are well aware, there is only one Great one, and the truly Great nation of his people is being currently gathered to be ushered into the new order of righteousness. We appreciate that you rejoice at this prospect, and would be happy yo harmonize your words with that reality. You also understand that the punishment of gehenna await those who, against good reason, stumble the sheeplike ones. Since this possibility crossed the minds of our fine brothers, it is, doubtless,in order to avoid such a pitfall that the particular choice of words has been made.
So, far from being the unilateral decision you refer to, it has been with the interest of the sheep that we have chosen to use such words. We hope you will carefully consider this matter, prayerfully and with a mild spirit. We are sure you will experience some peace and comfort if you do as you await the trully united nations of God's people in glorification of clean worship.

MAJOR ALERT - UN 2nd LETTER on WTS/NGO
by hawkaw inon january 24, 2002 the interim head of the department of public information responded to my letter requesting disclosure of the watchtower file.
even though dpi still refuses to give me the file, they did present some more facts on criteria for association.
also dpi provides what their dpi committee alerted the wts too in the committee's 1992 letter of accreditation to the wts.. there was a delay in posting due to the fact that the dpi sent a wrong brochure to me that accompanied the letter.
