  How to stick up for yourself to JWs...

  i figured i'd start a thread on this because i've noticed especially with women they really beat you into submission.

  so, i thought it would be good to talk about how to handle different situations without arguing.. if you have any ideas on how to handle the following situations, or have any other scenerios to add, please share!.

  1. the elders want to have a sheparding call.

  The elders want to have a sheparding call

  Elders/Parents say you can't make a decision because your husband is the head

  Ex. 3

  Maybe your problems are because you don't study/ pray enough

  Ex. 4

  Maybe your not getting appointed because your not taking on your responsibility properly

  Ex. 5

  I could never be married to your wife because she's not submissive enough

  my garage door, I need help.

  i have had someone work on my garage door, but it is not working out too well so far.

  the wheels rub against the door tracks in some places, it still makes loud noises when the door opens.

  i would like to get your input on what to do?

  No problem. He said its probably the tracks then. Is your garage door guy gonna come back and fix it? Cause he probably messed it up.

  He said if it the wheels are hitting the track bolt screws, then it means the door is to tight. Meaning the tracks might be to close to the door. Definately sounds like the garage door guy screwed up your door.

  The garage door guy shouldn't have to take the garage door apart again. He probably has to fix the tracks.

  When you put the door to the ground is it level?

  My hubby fixes garage doors and I called him. He said the tracking on the door isn't spaced properly. You need about 1/2 inch in between the track and the door in order for the wheels not to rub. He said it sounds like the garage door guy didn't install it properly.

  Interesting Conversation

  i had a conversation with a friend who has been inactive for over many years.

  he has really been there for me since i need an outlet to talk about my situation.. i finally found out one of the reasons he went inactive - he said he had read an article in one of the wt's, and then a few weeks later, he read an article that seemed to contradict the previous article.

  when he questioned this to an elder, the guy basically chastised him for questioning it and would not contact brooklyn for clarification.

  Spanish JW's are just as rude

  i was in homedepot (hardware store) the other morning and i noticed two jw spanish brothers making the rounds, in the store.

  they stood out to me because they were wearing suits, ties, and one was wearing an overcoat to carry literature.

  (this is the summer here).

  Eventualy the london bethel received so many complaints/ threats from the poor communters that they actauly asked the JW's to stop.

  Good!!! I think its rood when they go to the beach and start knocking on car windows of people trying to enjoy the scenery.

  My sister died in a head on collision last night

  i still can't believe it.

  she was here for the bbq, we had an awesome time, laughing, her telling stories from our childhoods.

  i gave her a hug and told her i loved her before she left.
