Go ahead, go out in service, then go to your meeting and then god knows what else on your day off. The kids are so used to it so I'm sure they won't even ask for you anyways.

I should add after reading LisaRose's post, I don't know much about child pageants. All that spray tab, fake teeth, etc is shocking to me. In the video, for the most part I saw a little kid having fun dancing on stage.

Awwwww, I thought she was adorable! I would never do that myself, because I'd rather have vacations and put the money into a college account, but I'd hope they'd already have the money for that if they can afford to put her in a pageant.
I didn't understand the need for a wig if she didn't want it. That was the part I was really uncomfortable with. That part I just didn't get at all and IMO was crossing a line.

Got ratted out for celebrating Halloween...
by cognac inone of two things will happen.
i'll get disfellowshipped and never have to worry about being "told on" again for living a normal life, or; they won't do anything.. either way, it's freeing and i feel relieved... it will be sad if i get disfellowshipped but i've come to terms and made peace with it as much as can be expected.
it's a huge weight to have off.. was told on a week ago and haven't heard anything.

Thank you everyone. I'm not sure if I would go or not to an elders meeting. Probably not but nothing is definite.
To answer Flippers question, my father is an elder but doubt he could or would impact anything.
Simon - I've decided not to lie. My kids are 3 and 5 and there will be tons of holidays and birthdays I will be participating in so don't want to be caught lying as if I have something to be ashamed of. I may tell them it's none of their business, but that's as far as I'm willing to go.

Girls names
by FeelingFree inok so i know its not really anything to do with jwness but we are struggling with baby names and really can't think of one we both like.
its getting a bit desperate as i'm due in about 8 weeks .. i'm getting bored of looking at the same old names on the baby names websites so any suggestions would be much appreciated (girls please).. **cash prize for the one we choose!

Its funny, cause I'm actually in a really happy place in my life. I've made a lot of new friends, got a new job offer with a ton more money, etc. I feel like I'm in a good place to move forward with this. We have talked about it also and are on the same page and both feel the same way.
