If they get help from these family members, I can see them saying, "Jehovah" provided.

How the college educated/employed "weak" JW's will soon be "used"
by ToesUp inonce these laid off bethelites are released from their duties, where will they go?.
how many will turn to their "spiritually weak" families for a place to live, a meal or financial aid?
the ones who have been criticized over the years for attending college and getting a good job may soon become an asset to the ones who have been relieved of their duties .

Totally disagree with you Sabin. Not that easy to hide it when people are looking.
Also, their growth is mostly with very poor people or born-ins that rarely get a college education. Not like years before when people coming in had a college education.
And, yes, very educated people have lost a lost of money in bad investments, it is possible.

Dubstepped - I think it was multiple investments.
Also, I agree with you, the child abuse lawsuits probably wouldn't be a drop in the bucket.

Dario- also, yes, I believe it is that simple. I think they really screwed themselves over with bad investments. Don't think the child abuse lawsuits would be causing this much damage. -

Dario- I don't believe so, because (correct me if I'm wrong) but they are setup that there is one main company (the parent company) and all the other companies are attached to the parent. Therefore, one balance sheet. -

A simple explanation for the financial changes
by JeffT inas i've mentioned from time to time, i'm a retired accountant.
i have tried many times to come up with some logical, sound business reason why the wtbs has made the big changes in its financial arrangements: taking the congregations savings, the monthly donations per congregation etc.
i finally came up with the answer.. the leadership of the watchtower society is batshit crazy.

Might Geoffrey Jackson attempt or commit suicide as a result of the ARC?
by Esse quam videri inthis may seem to be a harsh subject, but we have repeatedly heard how shunned jw's, of all ages, have committed suicide.
they succumbed to the harsh treatment brought on them by the watchtower society and in turn their families and so-called friends.. is it possible that the 'harsh treatment' the australian royal commission will met out to mr. jackson, by the relentless, probing questions, that he consider suicide?
perhaps losing face under the onslaught of merciless questioning, bringing that which is hidden into the light.
