by dawg ini love new england... i always used to read nathaniel hawthorne on the front portch of my house in georgia when i was a kid and think that many of his characters were like jw's..... there's a place near the cape, called buzzard's bay, i used to sit there for hours eating "steamers" and drinking beer, and on the cape,what a beautiful place.... i love the southland, and will always live here, but i miss new england... .
the "hawthorne hotel" in salem, mass.
that was like a home to me, i'd walk in the door and they'd always say, "hello mr. huff"... i'd get drunk at the local pub and be out there at the cemetery in the middle of town taking ghost photos at 12am.

He wanted to report me to the elders because i have "questions" and i'm "spiritually weak". i told him that, no I don't have questions, based upon the bible i don't believe everything they say, they have done things that have cause people to die and lose family for no reason and I'm not going along with that. i told him that if he wanted to go to the elders fine, and that if questioned I would tell them exactly where I stand.
However, I said that if he does go to the elders, he will be taking away my family. And that is the only reason I'm sticking around. If he takes my family away from me i will never step foot into another kingdom hall again. that i have no reason to go back because I will never tell them i was wrong.
anyways, he wants to go over the issues i have with the BORG today. Not sure I feel like it...

much of what we do on a daily basis is routine and of no particular, earth-shaking importance.
however, after reviewing letters of family going back to wwii, it is fascinating to read what dad was doing on board the aircraft carrier in the pacific on any old day, what mom was cooking on her ever-steaming range, how i was dealing with the roller coaster of emotion at bethel [mom saved all my letters], how nana wrote that she would not study with the witnesses [per my request] but 'here are some mittens i knitted for you when you canvass new york with your magazines.

Well, my day is crap and I'm pissed. Do I want to talk about it - yes and no.
argument with husband - I don't like him right now. he wants to hear how I feel about the society.
I don't want to tell him. i'm not in the mood. none of his business how i feel, what just so he can say I'm a dog returning to vomit and other crap? Why does he want to listen now? forget this crap, maybe another day, not today.

Well, I've been here for 12 days so I'm glad it was brought up again.
If one of Jehovah's Witnesses accepts a blood transfusion in a moment of weakness and then later regrets the action, this would be considered a
serious matter. Spiritual assistance would be offered to help the person regain spiritual strength.who the h$ll do they think they are??? screw them. spiritual weakness??? Give me a freaken break. There explanation of david eating unlawful bread in mark 2 is such jump though hoops crap.. no, matter which way you slice it, the bible said it was unlawful bread, the societys crap out lies try to say it wasn't technically unlawful. Does "going beyond what is written" mean anything??? clearly, in certain instances, we can break laws as what JESUS stated. for crying out loud, crap...

If you can convincingly explain the difference between "inspired by spirit" and "directed by spirit", I will run naked down the streets of Saint Paul, Minnesota here where the current windchill is -28.

What will they think of now?
by bite me ini always thought that jw's are taught that god (jehovah) is not a spirit.
if they look in the their very own bible (nwt) they have changed lord (jesus) to read jehovah in both places of 2 cor 3:17. can someone explain, please?
so it reads like this: 17now jehovah is the spirit; and where the spirit of jehovah is, there is freedom.

Blood question
by civicsi00 ini just had a thought about something... does anyone remember the text where jesus cured someone on the day of the sabbath and the pharisees got mad at him for doing that, on the day that no one is supposed to do anything?
because, if i remember correctly, jesus then corrected them and stated that it was better to help save a life than to obey every letter of the law.
where i'm going with this is, can't this scripture apply to the watchtower when denying someone a blood transfusion?

civics - I think you are referring to Mark chapter 2 at the end of the chapter.
Jesus also said that david broke the law by eating what was not lawful to eat and put David in a good light for doing it...
