Diabetes, MS, or other?

other than weighing around 250 lbs.
and eating out a lot every week, i have no health problems, i've never been to the hospital, and i hope to stay that way.. ok, so in dec. or jan. i got food poisoning for the first time 'cause i wasn't watching what i was eating and i ate the skin, or scales, whatever, of some fish.. i was ok in a couple of days, although i had a headache for one day.. in feb., i got food poisoning again.

I have MS just got diagnosed. It does not usually come on the way you describe. YOU need to see a doctor, so you can find out what is wrong. So many symptoms seem like many things. I was told I might diabetes and it ended up being MS. I was begging for an answer to what was wrong with me for 2 years before I got an answer. Also MS strikes men and women but more women. It is more common in the Northern hemisphere and it usually strikes people in their 20's or 30's
I have done the research. I am unusual I got it later in life.
I hope you are ok and it may be nothing so just go get checked out and prevent something that could get out of hand.

J.W's Forbidden To Use The Word "Lucky"
by Rapunzel inon another thread, a poster alluded to the witness prohibition on uttering the word "lucky," as the word "lucky" is associated with dreaded paganism.
as i recall, instead of saying "lucky", witnesses are "counseled" to employ the term forunate.
the problem is this - the roman goddess of good luck was named fortuna; her greek equivalent was named tyche.

I remember back in the 60's when it came out that we couldn't say sland words like dime or nickel. we had to say 10 cents or 5 cents. Now that I think of it, it sounds so stupid and controlling. Who cares and how petty to nit pick about little words when the important thing is love of God and your family and friends.

How many were strongarmed by elders over inheritance, etc?
by avishai inon another thread, i saw how elders were after someone for money as soon as someone died in their family, more than once.
this happened to my mom for years after my dad died, insurance settlements, lawsuit settlements, they wanted as much as they could possibly squeeze from a widow with three kids.
anyone else see this?

My Mom got cancer in 2005 and in February the elders interfered with the will. Everything was left to me her only child and my 4 children originally. In February 2006 she was diagnosed with terminal cancer with 6 months to live. The Elders encouraged her to change her will she told me. Next thing you know the Watchtower got 1/3 of her money the congregation got 1/3 and my 4 children had to share 1/3 of the money. this was out of over $100,000 cash, bonds etc that she was supposed to leave to my children. She had brain cancer and I think she got confused and let them convince her that they needed it more than her unbelieving grandchildren. I was just sick about it but you can't fight the Watchtower

Sharing my sad news with you
by Pioneer Spit...oh, i mean Spirit inmy great nephew, 8 months old, was killed yesterday.
so far appears to have been murdered by his sitter, a couple with whom my nephew and his girlfriend have been living.
they beat and drowned this little baby.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Nephew. It is the saddest thing to hear about a baby losing its life and even worse when its under such tragic circumstances. My thoughts are with you.
It must be very hurtful that your Father would say such a thing to you about attending the Memorial and when you didn't agree he hung up on you. If only he could see how unloving that is. Death seems to have no impact on the JW's other than to say that they died with or without a Hope of the New System.

Do you believe we are alone (Aliens, God and Angels)?
by Layla33 ina post someone else made, just made me want to start a discussion on the ideas of aliens, people from other planets, etc and our ideas of god, jesus and angels/demons.. the first time i ever even thought about this on any real level was when i was taking a greek mythology course and we were talking about avatars and the like, at the very same time i was taking a philosophy course and started discussing "did god create man or did man create god".
it was during that semester that that a group of friends and i started having these very existential discussion which lead to some very interesting questions and dialogue.
i have never looked at things the same.. flash forward to about three and a half years ago and through a chain of events, i am in a room with people from nasa working on a grant proposal.

I don't believe we are the only intelligent beings in this whole vast Universe. We 're such a tiny insignificant planet in the Milkey Way Galaxy. How can we think that there isn't life form in the infinite number of Galaxies that are out there. Most of them are so far away that it would be almost impossible to know of them. When you think about it our nearest Galaxy with a solar system is 4 light years away. We can't even travel at the speed of light yet.
Its hard to fathom for us but I am sure there are other life forms. Yes I think there is angels and demons.
I hope one day we will find out more about the mysteries of the universe.
I hear there has been some things the Government knows about and is covering up.
