  Hi I just noticed this thread and thought some of the peoples locations didn't add up, I see its an old thread.

  I am from Canada, lived here since I was 4 months old. Born in Detroit.

  Brought up in BC, where my parents got the truth when I was 3. We then moved to Perth Ontario where the "need was great", then moved to Brockville, Ontario where I pioneered and got disfellowhiped there too. Got reinstated in Agincourt Ontario 11 years later, moved to Thornhill Congregation and then to Aurora Congregation in Ontario. Wish I could find some friends I had then and see if they have left the Borg.

  I left the Organization in the 80's and moved to Toronto in 1993 until 3 years ago.

  I now live in Kawartha Lakes, Ontario, Canada Love it here, so friendly, small town, great community. Wish there was some Apostates here!!!!

  what color should i use for the trim on my cloak?

  an emperor needs a fancy cloak.

  Children Who Leave Always Come Back to the Society

  i heard this in a car group one day.

  a young single mother said she always heard that growing up.

  when she left she was adamant she would never be back, and now here she was.. is this true for the most part?.

  I too wish there was some statistics on this. I think way back before the internet and support groups for xjws that yes many went back.

  I did. I was disfellowshiped when I was 18, was raised in the "truth". I went back when I was 29 because I thought it might be the truth and I didn't want my babies to die at Armageddon. I faded after 7 years as I was not getting the love or encouragement needed from the Org. I would never go back again.

  Hey Outlaw, thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it, and will try the chicken broth trick. Now just have to decide what fish to choose. My husband says trout or salmon but I don't want bones either....... I am so fussy. I am going to experiment and hopefully find something because I am totally trying to get off Meat. I need a chef

  i never eat fish at home because I do not know how to cook it but at the reataurant I have had sole almondine and it is to die for............wish I knew how to do it.

  Its definitely BBQ season, we mostly do chicken souvlaki on the grill, I don't eat beef anymore.

  Eating chicken every night is getting boring

  Does anyone have any suggestions on how to grill/BBQ fish and what kind of fish is there that doesn't smell or taste "fishy". My husband says deep fry it but I don't want to fat.

  I saw the post here on this thread for salmon and it sounds good but I find salmon to smell and taste fishy. For some reason I have an aversion to smelly food. I also hate the smell of lamb.

  I know I should be eating fish but I have always gagged at the fishy odour. I have no idea how to cook it and make it smell and taste good and not overcook it.

  Help me please

  Elder in my old hall is DFed – wow!

  we were briefly catching up and she mentioned an elder in my old hall is now dfed.

  7th Anniversary on JWD

  i just realized that 5-28 was my 7th anniversary on jwd.

  my participation has changed over time and most of what i do is the review each week.

  people have come and gone, lots of new names, and some old-timers like me.
