World Traveller - In today's morning edition of my city newspaper, I read about yesterday's tragic accident involving the motorcycle police officer who was escorting Clinton's motorcade. The report did not make onto the first page; in fact it was a very short article appearing within the newspaper. In any case, it was just as I supposed: the accident occurred at the rear of Clinton's motorcade, therefore she was probably totally unaware of the accident when it happened. As the newspaper reported, Clinton displayed respect and compassion by cancelling a large scheduled rally and visiting the officer's family in the hospital.
I have to agree with BlackPearl - World Traveller is indeed acting like a prick in accusing me [without any basis whatsoever] of a lack of compassion. Just a procurer exploits young women, so is world traveller "pimping" [exploiting] this tragedy to suit his own personal agenda. Therefore, it is world traveller who is displaying an utter lack of compassion. To paraphrase the rapper, Ice-T, there are 99 reasons for not voting for Clinton, but this tragic accident ain't one. Moreover, it is an egregious and shameful violation of decency to "pimp" [exploit] this tragedy to advance a personal agenda. Whatever personal or political grudge that world traveller has against Clinton, he should not exploit this tragedy and use it as a weapon to hammer Clinton.
I agree with a former poster who said that Clinton's campaign may already have been derailed even before the tragic accident in question. However, I truly am utterly unable to grasp world traveller's point; I am totally unable to fathom how this tragedy might have any negative consequences or repercussions on her camaign. For the dead officer's family, this is a horrific tragedy from which they will never totally recover. But in terms of the national presidential camaign process, this tragedy will not even register a "blip" on the screen.
I notice that world traveller has been silent on this issue. I suppose that it would be expecting too much to ask for an apology from a coward. However, I do have a suggestion for the ole traveller: Instead of trying to exploitively "pimp" this tragedy to advance a personal agenda, I suggest that world traveller might perhaps make a contribution to help the surviving family members. Perhaps world traveller could contribute to a trust fund in the officer's memory. There may well be a trust fund established already by the Dallas police department. Perhaps world traveller could contact the Dallas police for information. If there is no trust fund yet, perhaps such a fund could be established. In any case, I would ask world traveller to refrain from acting in such a craven manner. Pimping is for cowards.
