  i have been trying to find a wt quote but all has failed and so i turn to this discussion board for help.

  i am beginning to wonder if i imagined it in one of my wierd dreams.

  i cannot give it exactly, but it went something like this.... (following discussion of "worldly" bombs that kill good and bad alike)... if only a bomb could be constructed that only destroyed the unrighteous.... ps - hello sirona.

  Sheep and Goats

  the use of sheep and goats as figurative images of good and bad people gave me pause even when i was a witness.. i've lived in the countryside, and know that sheep are quite possibly some of the most stupid mammals i've ever observed close hand.

  it's not unknown for a ewe to stand at the edge of a ditch whilst giving birth, with her arse hanging over the edge, with the inevitable 'splash' after the final heave.

  some highland breeds might be smarter, but not a lot.

  take a break.... close your eyes.....and go back in time.... before the internet and dvd's.

  before semi-automatic machine guns, joyriders and crack .... before sega, ps2 or super nintendo...way back..... i'm talking about hide and seek in the park.

  the corner shop, hopscotch, butterscotch, skipping, handstands, football with an old can, bulldog, beano, twinkle and roly poly, hula hoops, jumping in enormous puddles and building dams... when astro wars, 'computer' tennis, pac-man and donkey-kong ruled.... the smell of the sun and fresh cut grass.

  hi folks,.

  just wanted to share a little something i read over the weekend, from "how to be god" (andre deutsch, 1986) by expat hungarian, george mikes.. it's a reference to a "brilliant and frightening analysis of stalinism" by nobel prize-winning polish author ceslav milos; i'd be interested to hear if anyone gets resonances from this similar to the ones i picked up.... "[milos] stated that there were a hundred and one basic tenets of the creed and if someone doubted a single one of them he was branded a traitor to communism and thrown into prison or, perhaps, tortured to death.. "no one, not even stalin himself, believed in all the hundred and one dogmas but all behaved as if they did.

  people who did not believe in the creed persecuted and prosecuted others who did not believe in it either.

  i hope to send this letter today although i must seriously consider the consequences if i do.. please let me know if i got the ngo info right.. dear brothers,.

  i am writing on two matters of major concern to me.. firstly recently i have become aware of the fact that the watchtower society of jehovahs witnesses in new york is associated as an ngo (non governmental organisation) with the department of public information of the united nations organisation.. at first i was very skeptical of the idea , but when i checked it out on the uns web site i found that jehovahs witnesses were indeed listed in partnership with the un.. this is puzzling to me as by belief has been that the un was taught by the faithful and discreet slave to be part of satans political system of things.. here are some quotes from watchtower literature.. *** re 248 34 an awesome mystery solved ***.

  the un is actually a blasphemous counterfeit of gods messianic kingdom by his prince of peace, jesus christto whose princely rule there will be no end.. .
