  My kitchen has checkered floors. It must be the free masons.

  We should not forget that the WTS produces THOUSANDS of pictures. PER YEAR. So, no wonder that SOME of these show checkered floors.

  first of all, thank you all for your patience while i made a few tweaks to the site.. i ended up actually going down a bit of a rabbit hole of updating one thing which required another thing be updated first and so on ... before i knew it i'd updated the framework platform and most of the sub-components used and then got carried away trying to do some optimizations as well.

  all worthwhile though and a little overdue.. anyway, i broke a few thing along the way but i also fixed a few things too ... erm, unfortunately they didn't always quite match up so there are still a few things outstanding that i need to fix and am working on.. but, i'm hoping that dispite the short-term pain the site should now load and run just a little bit faster for you.

  well, that's the intention - i'd be interested to hear how you find it.

  Interesting experience while protesting at district conventions

  for three weekends this summer, a friend and i protested outside district assemblies being held in the tucson convention center.

  our approach was very low key and completely non-confrontational: we just held our posters and smiled.

  this was our experience at the first two assemblies (for the third assembly, see the next paragraph).

  new book printed in Germany, not wallkill-why?

  i just recieved a copy of the new book "imitate their faith" and notice it was printed in the german branch, not at wallkill.. why would they ship books here (the us) from germany instead of printing them in wallkill?.

  the new tracts were printed in canada.. is something going on at the wallkill printery that would would hinder book production there?.

  Hey, we have good paper, but Germans are stingy, and so are JW's - you can imagine that German JWs purchase the lousiest and cheapest paper that they can get around here. Likely it's from China.

  in john 8:44 jesus is quoted as saying that the devil is a "liar and the father of the lie.

  " an obvious reference to the serpent story in genesis chapter 3.

  The serpent told them they would be like God in knowing good and bad, the God confirmed afterwards that 'man has become like one of us in knowing good and bad', so the serpent was right.

  God told that 'the day' they would eat they would die, but that didn't happen. They died almost thousand years later.

  (According to the Bible, of course.)

  of all the things to decorate your holy stage with, and you pick something iconic of temples of an ancient religion and world power that you claim was evil.

  i was doing some reading up on the wtbts former belief that the annointed would go and be with jehovah and jesus on "alcyone" when they died.

  (alcyone is a star system in the constellation taurus.

  it is the brightest star in the pleiades open cluster, which is a young cluster, aged at less than 50 million years.
