The writer of the 1988 Watchtower obviously misunderstood the term "Grand Total" and thought it would refer to the worldwide numbers. But there were 26826 partakers in US alone, so it can't have been 27006 worldwide.
i noticed on the installation instructions:.
"close all other programs, including antivirus programs.".
i am not a computer whizzkid, but i have never installed software that told me to close antivirus.. what are they putting on our hard drives that they dont want us to know about?.
At home and at my workplace (where we have ca. 3500 computers), we NEVER turn out the Antivirus program. And "never" means "never". In so many years, the ONLY programs that could not be installed due running Antivirus software were viruses.
I have found other software (like iTunes) much more likely to prevent successfull installations.

i caught the entire session today, and strangely, it was the first time i was able to stay completely alert for an entire dc program.
i'm guessing the reason for that is that i was looking at the program with a critical eye for the first time in my life and was not being hypnotised by mind-numbing repitition (see steve hassen's combatting cult mind control).
the program wasn't that bad.
most of those teenagers probably got baptized to make themselves eligible for marriage

"Knorr" is the a manufacturer of packet soup in Germany. Accordingly Watchtower president Knorr is usually called "Suppenkasper" or "Suppen-Kaspar" ("Kaspar Who Did Not Have Any Soup") by German apostates ;)
