  How many partook in 1935?--BIG discrepancy in the WTS numbers

  in a 1996 questions from readers, the watchtower reported the following regarding the number of partakers in 1935: .

  w96 8/15 p. 31 questions from readers ***.

  the facts over the decades reflect both the completion of the calling of the anointed and jehovahs blessing on the growing "great crowd," who hope to survive "the great tribulation.

  Actually, the German edition is more suitable for this joke:

  

  The original title is: "UND WENN ES DOCH EINEN SCHÖPFER GIBT?", meaning "What if there is a creator after all?". I simply added a K, so that it now means "What if there is no creator after all?".

  While the original title should make nonbelievers afraid, the modified title should make believers afraid ...

  Obviously the lower numbers (with 27006 partakerse) refer to the countries under Brooklyn office only, as can be seen from the 1936 Yearbook:

  

  The writer of the 1988 Watchtower obviously misunderstood the term "Grand Total" and thought it would refer to the worldwide numbers. But there were 26826 partakers in US alone, so it can't have been 27006 worldwide.

  Is the CD ROM WT library dangerous to our machines?

  i noticed on the installation instructions:.

  "close all other programs, including antivirus programs.".

  i am not a computer whizzkid, but i have never installed software that told me to close antivirus.. what are they putting on our hard drives that they dont want us to know about?.

  At home and at my workplace (where we have ca. 3500 computers), we NEVER turn out the Antivirus program. And "never" means "never". In so many years, the ONLY programs that could not be installed due running Antivirus software were viruses.

  I have found other software (like iTunes) much more likely to prevent successfull installations.

  Went to the DC today...

  i caught the entire session today, and strangely, it was the first time i was able to stay completely alert for an entire dc program.

  i'm guessing the reason for that is that i was looking at the program with a critical eye for the first time in my life and was not being hypnotised by mind-numbing repitition (see steve hassen's combatting cult mind control).

  the program wasn't that bad.
