We are in God's "image" but God's morality is repugnant
by yadda yadda 2 inthe bible says in genesis that god made human beings in his "image".. this means that christians believe human beings were made with certain attributes that they share with god.

How would Jesus and the criminal executed alongside with him be “in paradise” together? Few hours after Jesus spoke these words, they both were dead. And granted, “few persons would think of any connection between a cemetery and a … paradise.” (Awake!, August 8, 1979, page 3) But according to the reference work Insight on the Scriptures, a “paradise” is “a beautiful park, or a parklike garden. The Greek word pa·ra′dei·sos … [and] the Hebrew word par·des′ … all convey the basic idea of a beautiful park or parklike garden.” (volume II, page 574) And walking in some cemeteries is indeed “like being in a beautiful park, in a paradise.” (Awake!, August 8, 1979, page 3) Hence Jesus promised the criminal that he would “inherit the soil” and get buried in a parklike cemetery together with him. – Matthew 5:5,Luther.

“Go to the ant … observe its ways.” (Proverbs 6:6)
Did wise King Solomon really mean that we should learn from literal ants? No, because “there are … many symbolic and pictorial statements” in the Bible and it “often uses animals … to represent governments.” (The Watchtower, October 15, 1977, page 618; Awake!, February 8, 1975, page 8) Which government is symbolized by “the ant?”
World history provides a clear answer, since “outstanding in any typical [ant] colony is the queen [but] she is not a ruler.” (Awake!, May 8, 1976, page 22) Hence the greater ant is Great Britain – like in an ant colony, “the Queen’s role is purely formal; she reigns, but she does not rule.” (Awake!, August 22, 1982, page 4) How should we be interested in the “ways” of Great Britain?
When a foreign visitor observes the “ways” or streets of Great Britain, the first thing he notices is that the cars are driving on the left side. Interestingly, archaeologists found that “the Romans drove on the left” and “travelers on horseback generally rode on the left side” in Jesus’ day. (Awake!, March 22, 2005, page 12) Hence the advice in Proverbs 6:6 means that we should observe the British traffic rules. As true Christians, we should always drive on the left side, regardless of where we live.

“Work, not for the food that perishes, but for the food that remains.” (John 6:27)
Over the decades, “The Watchtower endeavored to provide timely spiritual food.” (The Watchtower, July 1, 1979, page 8) Was it successful? From 1950 to 1999 there have been more than 20 articles on the “generation” of Matthew 24:34, and all of these are no longer valid since 2010. From 1950 to 2012 the Watchtower mentioned more than 1000 times “the ‘faithful and discreet slave’ [as] made up of all anointed Christians on earth,” but since 2012 we know that it’s the Governing Body – The Watchtower, May 1, 1969, page 272; July 15, 2013, page 22.
There is no doubt – “the spiritual food contained in The Watchtower” is “food that perishes.” (John 6:27;1986 Yearbook of Jehovah’s Witnesses, page 137) Instead of wasting our time on such inferior nourishment we should rather “keep eating physical food in order to sustain our lives.” (The Watchtower, April 1, 2004, page 21) This is “food that remains” as anyone who once tried a diet can attest.

“You must not desire your fellow man’s house.” (Exodus 20:17)
As the Watchtower has been telling for years, “millions the world over live in unbelievably wretched, heartbreaking conditions. Each day, they wake up to poverty, disease, senseless violence, and oppression.” (The Watchtower, July 1, 2011, page 3) But there are not only poor people: “Tens of millions of people die of hunger … each year, while a small number have vast riches.” (Does God Really Care About Us?, page 15) What should be the attitude of the poor towards the rich?
God specifically commanded his worshippers: “You must not desire your fellow man’s house … nor anything that belongs to your fellow man.” (Exodus 20:17) Hence it would be wrong if a poor man facing starvation would desire the food available to others. A homeless person must not desire someone else’s house. Anyone who is poor should rather rejoice for having a share in fulfilling Jesus’ prophecy: “The one who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.” – Matthew 25:29.
Who carefully avoids desiring anything belonging to the rich will eventually be “freed from poverty” by God’s Kingdom. (The Watchtower, June 15, 2002; October 1, 1986, page 24) But those going hungry and desiring others’ food will receive their “punishment on the day of judgment.” – 2 Peter 2:9, NIV.

“Do not drink water any longer.” (1 Timothy 5:23)
Was it really Paul’s intention to advise against literal water? Definitely not, for “literal water is a vital element for life” and “none can survive without water.” (Revelation – Its Grand Climax at Hand!, page 311; Awake!, January 22, 1972, page 19) After all, Paul was also not “talking about such weapons as literal swords, spears, bows and arrows” when he described a Christian’s suit of armor. – The Watchtower, October 1, 1976, page 585.
The “water” to be avoided is, rather, “life’s water.” (Revelation 22:17) In our day this “water” can be found at “Jehovah’s Witnesses … Their Kingdom Halls are open to all who wish to … ‘take life’s water’” (The Watchtower, February 15, 1998, page 19) “The trees alongside the ‘river of water of life’ yield their fruits each month;” these fruits represent “the Watchtower and Awake! magazines [which] are produced every month.” – The Watchtower, January 1, 1977, page 10; May 1, 2002, page 23.
Accordingly, how can we heed Paul’s counsel ‘not to drink water any longer?’ Let us avoid the gatherings of Jehovah’s Witnesses and their magazines. Everyone already having Watchtower publications is “not to keep ‘life’s water.’” (The Watchtower, December 15, 1990) Like sewage he should dispose of it.

“You are my friends if you do what I am commanding you.” (John 15:14)
Jesus’ friendship is subject to conditions. No obedience, no friendship. But true “friends accept others without conditions.” (Yahoo Answers) “A true friend shows love at all times,” not only when you obey him. – Proverbs 17:17.
Since Jesus is not a true friend, is it worth trying to “become a friend of Jehovah?” (Awake!, November 2012, page 10) “True friends are … never imposing on each other or being overly possessive.” (The Watchtower, September 15, 1987, page 6) But “Jehovah is a God who requires exclusive devotion.” – Nahum 1:2.
The Bible’s message is clear: Neither Jesus nor Jehovah can be true friends for us. “Doug, who was reared by godly parents,” realized this and “admitted: ‘I began to see that all my so-called friends were just using me.’” (Awake!, July 22, 1995, page 14) We too can confidently do without false friends like Jehovah and Jesus.

“Now the third day was Pharaoh’s birthday.” (Genesis 40:20)
On his birthday Pharaoh “made a feast for all his servants … He hanged the chief baker, just as Joseph had interpreted to them.” (Genesis 40:20, 22) Indeed Joseph had indicated to the chief baker: “The birds will eat your flesh from you.” (Genesis 40:19) “Were all these detailed events recorded solely to give us Bible history? … No, they were also recorded because they constituted a prophetic drama.” (The Watchtower, January 1, 1970, page 28) The events at the Egyptian court have a parallel in our day, though “today it is not Pharaoh who is ruler … [but] Jehovah God, the Greater Pharaoh,” and “the Greater Joseph [is] Jesus.” (Survival Into a New Earth, page 79, 80) But who is the “chief baker” today?
The chief baker oversaw the feeding of Pharaoh and his servants. And today “the faithful and discreet slave class .. those making up the Governing Body [of Jehovah’s Witnesses] oversee the spiritual feeding.” (The Watchtower, August 15, 2009, page 23) Soon – in a spiritual sense on “the third day” – “Jehovah God, the Greater Pharaoh,” will dispose of “those making up the Governing Body.” As foretold “under the direction of the Greater Joseph, Jesus Christ,” soon “all the birds” will “eat the flesh of kings,” that is, “those making up the Governing Body” who would like “to ‘rule as kings over the earth.’” – Revelation 19:17, 18; The Watchtower, May 1, 1987, page 20; April 15, 1992, page 17.

How Can You Find the True Religion?
“Windows in his roof chamber being open … even three times in a day he was kneeling on his knees and praying and offering praise before his God.” (Daniel 6:10)
There can be no doubt as to who were practicing true religion in the first century. What about today? How can those practicing true religion be identified?
Explaining how we can do this, Jesus said: “By their fruits you will recognize them. … Every good tree produces fine fruit, but every rotten tree produces worthless fruit; … really, then, by their fruits you will recognize those men.” (Matthew 7:16-20) What fine fruits would you expect true worshipers of God to produce?
God’s true worshippers must have peace among themselves, even though the world around them shattered by war. Where can we find such peace among men and women from various nations and races? Stephan, a network engineer from Germany, explained: “The first time I went to a Microsoft workshop, I saw a well-dressed lady sitting and conversing with a Turk. I had never seen that before. In that moment, I knew that these must be God’s people.”
Indeed, around 90,000 employees „out of [nearly] all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues” work together at Microsoft in peace, pursuing a common goal. Such unity is only possible because all employees work closely with God’s channel of communication, the Microsoft executive board in Seattle. They separate from the world’s conflicts, and history proves that Microsoft was not involved in the two World Wars of the 20 th century.
Worldwide Activity
God’s true worshippers must also be acting “to the most distant part of the earth.” (Acts 1:8) That too is applicable to Microsoft, since the company has employees in 105 countries around the globe. A special department takes care of translating the products in more than 70 languages.
God’s true worshippers must also travel “through the land declaring the good news of … word.” (Acts 8:4) Indeed, Microsoft has scores of “Technical Evangelists” who carry the good news of Word, Excel and especially of new products into the world.
The Bible says that God would give his revelation not all at once, but progressively. (Pr. 4:18) Accordingly, Microsoft does not publish final products, but does time and again provide “brighter light” in form of service packs, hotfixes and other updates. Granted, Microsoft has not opened “a large door” but rather a large window “that leads to activity.” – 1. Cor. 16:9.
Persecution
The Bible also foretold that true servants of God would be persecuted. In fact, Microsoft is one of the most assaulted organizations on earth. In the recent 6 years, at least 14 substantial lawsuits have been carried on against Microsoft, where all the hate of Satan’s economic system turned up. So-called “guardians of competition” recommended to break up the company multiple times.
But to Microsoft the prophecy of Isaiah applies: “Any weapon whatever that will be formed against you will have no success, and any tongue at all that will rise up against you in the judgment you will condemn. This is the hereditary possession of the servants of Jehovah.” (Isaiah 54:17) That the company still exists despite many hostilities is an impressive proof of God’s blessing and protection.
In the past 20 years, Microsoft’s employee count increased on average by 19 percent per year – remarkable evidence of God’s support. And “the blessing of Jehovah – that is what makes rich.” (Proverbs 10:22) That’s why William H. Gates, the first president of the Microsoft Corporation, has been the richest person on earth for years. Despite the worldwide financial crisis, his personal wealth is still around $40 billion, an impressive fulfillment of Bible’s promise.
Who, then, is the body of true worshipers today? On the basis of the evidence, which is known or available to persons in all parts of the earth, we do not hesitate to say that it is Microsoft. It will be worthwhile to work close with this organization, since God assures us that practicing true religion brings great contentment now. – Deuteronomy 30:19, 20.
Questions from readers: Can Microsoft Really Be the True Religion?
In your June issue, you claim that Microsoft is the true religion. But recently I read in the science magazine The Sun that Bill Gates is the antichrist. The letters of his full name William Henry Gates IIIadd up to the number 666 according to the ASCII code. Also the Bible says about the first Christians: “Not even one would say that any of the things he possessed was his own; but they had all things in common.” (Acts 4:32) That is a fitting description of the Open Source concept, and that’s why I think that the truth can be found somewhere in the Linux community. – M. Reply: Thank you for your mail. The idea that the Open Source concept would correspond to Early Christianity is mentioned time and again by orthodox theologians. But they ignore the context of the parallel account: “They sold … goods.” (Acts 2:45, ASB) This report cannot refer to the Open Source movement that provides its products for free. Rather this passage is fulfilled by Microsoft. Acts 2:45 and 4:32 describe the DLL concept of Windows that allows all applications to use many functions in common.
But there is an even stronger proof for Microsoft and not the Linux movement being the true religion: A large number of demons (also called daemons) are working in every Linux system. Hence the “man from the city who had demons” represents a Unix or Linux system. – Luke 8:27.
But there is another Bible prophecy that is fulfilled by Linux: “Babylon the Great … has become a dwelling place of demons … and a lurking place of every unclean and hated bird!” (Revelation 18:2) Indeed, German magazine PC-Welt reported on November 12, 2001: “Linux conquers the church.” And the logo of Linux is an ‘unclean bird,’ a penguin.
In Windows systems however, there are no daemons at work but services. They are actually God’s angels who are “sent out to render service.” (Hebrews 1:14, NASB) The Bible says about the services that are integrated in Windows: “They kept attending upon their service according to their commission.” (1 Chronicles 6:32) Jehovah even views some services as sacred. (Romans 12:1) In fact, modern Windows systems were foreshadowed by Jehovah’s great spiritual temple. The prophet Ezekiel wrote about it: “There were windows.” (Ezekiel 40:16) That’s why Awake! magazine urged its readers: “Stand next to the control panel” – April 22, 1989, page 7.
What can be said about the claim that the letters ofWilliam Henry Gates III would add up to the number 666? That is simply wrong. In fact, the result is 2052 – exactly the number of years from Noah’s death in 2018 B.C.E. to Jesus’ death in 33 C.E. That shows that Bill Gates must be seen in line with the Bible’s great patriarchs and prophets. As Noah protected his family from destruction in the flood, Bill Gates will protect his followers from the “wild beast” Google – which is the leading Internet company and is as such depicted by the number 666. (The Hebrew equivalent of www, ו ו ו, corresponds to the numeric value 666; see The Witchtower, February 2009, page 3.)
Also, Bill Gates cannot be the antichrist because the present-day antichrist Watchtower organization. (seeThe Witchtower, July 2009, page 3) Faithful men use software from Microsoft to expose the evil deeds of the Watchtower Society. The products of the true religion make the worldwide distribution of the truth possible.
Some claim that neither Microsoft nor the Linux community but Apple would be the true religion. They point out that Apple’s products are used “to the most distant part of the earth.” (Acts 1:8) But while Microsoft products are used to expose the dark deeds of Jehovah’s Witnesses, numerous people use Apple products to listen to the Watchtower podcast. Thus Apple contributes to the promotion of false worship and can certainly not be the true religion.
The website The Straight Dope says: “Early Christian scholars often took the forbidden fruit to be an apple.” So Apple is not the true religion; rather the products of this company are the ‘forbidden fruits,’ “something to be longed for to the eyes,” to distract people from true worship. (Genesis 3:6) We should never allow Apple or Linux to allure us from our faith but rather stick to the teaching of Microsoft with billions of other worshippers.
