  I like ice cream floats with root beer or coke. Or on a cone or with chocolate syrup and whipped cream or all by itself or,,,,, I like ice cream.

  what were your meetings for field service experiences?

  my mom (still in the borg) was telling me about going out with the c.o and his wife this week in field service & i started re-living the horror show that would go on during saturday meetings for field service-.

  ah... the dreaded splitting up into car groups... i always felt like we were in gym class being grouped together for a game of dodgeball-.

  the co and elders were the team captains and we would line up for the count.

  do you ever feel guilty about the way you pre-judged others when you were a drone?.

  i feel guilty about it every day!

  people's lives are so complex, we know so little of their personal struggles and "thorns in the flesh" yet we're conditioned to prejudge on a checklist of criteria published by a few men in new york.

  I have felt terrible about the way I treated df'd ones and have told several of them how sorry I am that I treated them that way. All was forgiven by them, which shows me which of the two groups have the right attitude.

  How many you you hated to wait in the car while someone was on a good call!

  something i have not heard before on this board is waiting in the car out in service or any of the woman who were elders wives waiting on their husbands while in an elders meeting.. i was 24 years old when i got married to an older man he was 41 and had been an elder for about 12 years.

  i truly loved my husband when we got married.

  i truly loved him like crazy.

  I didn't mind because I didn't have to talk to stangers as much. The only time it did bother me was when it was time to go home and they stayed and stayed. I was more than ready to go home by then.

  as a grandparent i feel the need to share this picture with you.. if any of you have cute pictures of grand babies please post them if your comfortable with it.. this little guy is elias, he was born january 4th in spokane.

  this picture was taken by his mother when elias was 8 weeks old.. he is my second grand baby, my 3rd one is "in the oven", they are all boys.. every time i look at this picture it makes me smile how about you ?.

  mine is the yearner position.. .

  fetus position - a whopping 41% of participants sleep in this curled-up manner.

  women are twice as likely to rest like this and it is listed as the most common position.

  I just had my first child

  baby girl, 6 lbs, 14 oz, 19-3/4in, looks like me they say.... still in awe... there were some complications, but mom and baby are doing good.

  baby's down the hall in nicu and it still doesn't feel real.. .

  When the meetings seem endless....

  what do you do/used to do?i go to the bathroom for more than 10 mins,then read something irrelevant or think of something irrelevant or go out for a while and so the meeting comes to an end..

  It gets easier as time goes on. You don't have to meet wjth the elders if you don't want to. My mother is also still in, so I know how you feel not wanting to hurt her. But there comes a time when we have to think of ourselves a little bit. Just slow down a little each month or so and before you know it you'll be out.
