  so one of the elders called asking for my time.

  i lied, somewhat.

  yes i did talk to people about the "truth" but not in favourable terms.. has anyone simply stated, "i have not been in service this month"?

  Finally finding my way out...

  well, its been about 2 1/2 years and have slowly done less and less.

  i've been to about 30 minutes of a meeting in the last month and a half where i stayed out back and with my daughter.. i've been looking for the right timing to leave but had decided i will go anyways by the time my daughter is about 1 years old.

  but, it just so happens that my some members of my family including and mostly my parents have actually given me a good enough of an excuse to get out.. they have broken to many rules.

  let's say you're an active witness (well, you guys were, or are active witnesses) and you look around you.

  practically every appliance, invention, whatever, most of the food, all the new discoveries, virtually everything was made by worldlies.

  it's been that way for thousands of years.

  "you get what you pay for"?.

  a couple of years ago i bought a lawnboy mower for $750.

  i probably only used it a dozen times since i'm not really big on yardwork.

  The Jehovahs Witness family weekend

  having been out of the organisation for over 4 years and having finally released my kids from the hellish existance that is life as a jw, it struck me today how enjoyable our weekends are in comparison to when we were jw's.. the weekends are vital for us just now.

  my wife doesn't work but i work full time from very early in the morning.

  i don't get to see my beutiful children in the morning during the week.

  Back to the point of this thread: My weekends are great now also. I sleep in both days and take care of things around my home. Then do my shopping. Maybe take a much needed nap. No feeling guilty about not going out in service or feeling bad even if I did go because I really did'nt want to go. No making myself underline every other para. in the WT. Donig it that way made it look like it was all lined.I had all kinds of tricks to make myself seem more theocratic than I really was. Now no more living a lie. I love it.

  Had any Dreams Lately you Want to Share ? What Meanings do you Get ?

  gawd- i had a crazy dream last night.

  in books i've read about dreaming- it has stated many times dreams are about " unfinished situations " in your life that are trying to sort out within your dreams.. my dream was : my son flipper junior and me were being chased by government thugs who wanted us to release some important numbers - a code we had written down.

  only problem was is this code had information that would cost our families & friends lives if these government people got them from us.

  here on jehovahs-witness.net i have come across theists, atheists and those that are agnostic that all claim to be friends because they're ex-witnesses like it is all that is needed for religious unity.. .

  why isn't this on the ad?.

  because every atheist i've talked to believes jehovah's witnesses are just another organization of stupid adults with imaginary friends, just a splinter of mainstream christianity a lot like the branch davidians.

  Akice, what I can't understand is why you are on an apostate website to begin with. I was a JW for nearly 50 years and I would have NEVER even thought of reading this stuff. I'm not downing you or the Witnesses. My mother and sister and many other family members are still in. But if I were still in the org. there's no way I'd be here. Just my observation. No offense intended.
