I read it and honestly could'nt put it down. I want to read it again. And I don't see how anyone could read it and still believe the JW crap!

finally read Crisis of Conscience
by A.Fenderson ini recently finished reading crisis of conscience.
in short, it was one of the most important books i've ever read, even considering that i left the kh 13 years ago.
i honestly cannot see how anyone could read it and still maintain that they believe in the wts religion--have any of you ever known someone to read it and actually still believe and be happy with the jw religion?

The new Kingdumb maladies
by WTWizard ini wonder if anyone actually enjoys them.
i have heard scattered reports about how a few actually enjoyed at least a few of the older songs (back when there were 225 of them).
but i have heard nothing but reports of the new songs being impossible to properly sing, very poorly written or performed, or downright blasphemous and promoting blatant idolatry.

Honestly, I have'nt heard them. But my mom likes them, but she's old and can't hear very well. So maybe that's why she says they are pretty!

If you don't want the study any longer, just tell them up front. Don't continue to study if you don't want to.

Loving your beutiful children
by jambon1 ini had little or no problems with my beliefs as an 18 year old convert to the jehovah's witness religion.
fair enough, there were a few things that i found a bit wacky & odd, but i was on the road to life.
i couldn't give a rats arse about many things.

I feel exactly the same way. And what always bothered me was the fact that a supposedly loving god would even expect that of us.

Happy Independence Day
by OnTheWayOut inoh, i know it's the 4th of july, a holiday in the usa celebrating the country breaking away from britain.
we can "celebrate" that too if we want.. i am talking about your personal independence.
you (most of you anyway) are free to think what you want and read what you want and walk into any church or temple if you want.

Still Feeling Lost...What to Do Next?
by daringhart13 ini'm wondering how many of you still feeling a burning need to know god and have a relationship with him.. i am dealing with the horrible emotions of having faded, done some things that would be considered immoral, stopped praying (not sure i ever prayed right) and generally just feeling lost...... what have some of you done to get back on track?
i've been fading for a year and a half.
missing my first dc..... ugh.....having a crappy morning i guess...... just feel like i want to talk to god, but can't.. ironic, huh?

What I wonder is this, What is djeggnog doing here? Don't pay any attention to what he said. That is exactly what we are trying to get away from. CONTROL FREAKS.. Just live a good life and love your family and the spiritual things will eventually work out. I don't go to church but I feel closer to God now than I ever did while in the org. I'm a better, kinder person who doesn't look at "worldy" people as something detestable and I think that's a good thing. I also listen to Christain music on the radio and was surprised at how good it made me feel. Just some thoughts on what might help you.

I remember that book. My mom studied it with my sister and me when we were to young to read. It was scary and very boring to us. I hated that book.
