  i am very new to the political process and this year will be the first time i enter a voting booth, but something has been on my mind of late and i hope you all can help me sort it out.. if george bush had been a democrat and from day one of his presidency had done everything exactly as he has done would most of the republicans be supporting the war in iraq?

  would most of the democrats still be against the war?.

  or would each party fall in line with most republicans against the war and most democrats for the war?.

  I am by no means saying that GWB or his admin are perfect...who is? But Vietnam and Iraq are VERY different wars.

  I cannot agree. Vietnam was a political war motivated by political interests. So is the Iraq war.

  The Vietnam war is remembered in part for the duplicit actions by the political leaders of the time. So will the Iraq war.

  The Vietnam war is remembered as a negative, so will the Iraq war.

  The difference is that my generation, the baby boomers, will not allow the soldiers in the Iraq war to be treated like scum as our Vietnam soldiers were.

  Politics is politics and the grandchildren of this generation may also die in needless wars promulgated by misguided politicians for misguided political reasons.

  The U.S. has little good will in the Middle East to help broker a peace or to politically come to the defense of Israel. Why did they choose to light the flames now? As I am learning with politicians, there is nothing they do without a political reason so what was the reason?

  You are the dumb one because you have failed to understand what our dear brothers are teaching us. The fact of the matter is that Moses asked Jehovah two questions. The first is asked in verse 11 followed by a second question in verse 13 and it is the last question that is referred to in paragraph 2. Further, the Society's comments are well supported by commentary on verse 13 as discussed in pp.37-38 in EXODUS- Word Biblical Commentary, Vol.3, by John I Durham, 1987, Word Books, Waco, Texas.

  Sorry no, you are the dumb one because you fail to see that your dear brothers have hurt many of Jehovah's people to the point of causing some to in effect vomit up blood because of the pain they have endured from many of your dear brothers who neither follow Christ's example of love nor even Paul's.

  From what I've read on E-Watchman's site he is not alone. There is a brother helping to run the site for him and there could possibly be others behind the scenes helping. So yes, with help he could easily send out that many letters.

  I wonder if the fact that E-Watchman signed his name and also gave his address will cause some elders who would usually toss something like that in the trash to read it instead in order to incriminate him to the Society?

  Most of them will not know that the letter is being sent to thousands of congregations and as a result may feel that they must take action themselves by contacting the Society directly after of course reading the incriminating letter.
