It drives me crazy how so many quotes say the Judge was the leader of the "Bible Students", when he was not. 1916 was the year the Pastor died, it was his studies in the volumes, that were used in study not Judge Joe's. the witnesses became a mutation of the Bible Students (a break away, schism,) very little is representitive of the real "Bible Student" movment.

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
I read this on this fourm way back when:
"Not to know is bad. Not to want to know is worse. Not to hope is unthinkable. Not to care is unforgivable." - Nigerian saying.
Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell
the difference.Theologically, Jehovah’s Witnesses are a family hurtful cult of Christianity. The oppressive organization does not represent logical historical facts, sociologically; it is a destructive cult whose false teachings frequently result in spiritual and psychological abuse, as well as needless deaths.
I understand the dictionary definition of an "apostate" and I suppose that definition fits me. However, I have my own definition, which makes me more comfortable as it does not fit me. I (and it is my opinion that is important to me) apply the term apostate to those that have knowingly bent and twisted the word of the God in the Bible to their own advantage. Using my definition makes the WTS an apostate organization (one of many). I don't like apostates and this means that I don't like the WTS.
I never did enjoy being judgmental that their rules are supreme - elder, pioneer, ms, co, do, governing body, weak, strong, active, inactive, in the truth, worldly, pagan, on and on.
Every label gave you a mental picture of how to treat, love, hate, ignore or otherwise judge the person on the receiving end of that label. Apostate is a simple term - it means to leave basically - but they have made us a mental image of 'evil slave' - having God and his people excreta.
Hard to get over those mental pictures for most I think -
By the way I am a real 'apostate' - a good one - most witnesses would like to be as good as a lot of these 'apostates' that are onn this site, but if you think about it didn't the WTS 'label' everything? It was really part of the “New Light,” if it were from Jehovah, it would have been right in the first place, and would not need updating. So what is current light now, may very well be old light next year, and at times it has.
Why would Jehovah give them the wrong understanding to start with?
That is the stuff that always bothered me so that is what I bring up. Of course now I know it was all a fairly tale anyhow.

Every time Satan invades my thinking and I entertain the idea of going back to the Hall, all that needs to happen is to hear a Watchtower study and listen to all these lame brains using the same words over and over in their comments like: ( I “appreciated” this or that shit, every single one of them say it but the very young ones ) Jehovah / organization” wants us to be happy, (If you have your Kingdom Ministry inserts handy) the judicial committee of blah blah congregation has disfellowshiped brother human being, We are having a elders meeting after the meeting tonight” And last if not least hearing people clap after a public talk that always bugged the shit out of me; like I am sure the crowds gathered pon the mount of olives clapped, what a bunch of zipper heads.

Has anyone ever felt they were possessed by a demon?
by dissed init was the "in-thing" to happen to sinners in jesus' time, being possessed.
some could boast they had legions of demons calling their body home.. it was also a primary miracle for the top christians to perform, ridding demons away, proof you had god's spirit.
"be gone you demon!!".

There is a quote somewhere “That which does not kill us makes a stronger”.
This is mine:
In all the world Trust no man, Trust no woman, Trust no beast; The God who made the everlasting sky “Him you can (Truly) Trust.”
In the religious sense if you’re in a cult you can never have a meaningful relationship with your higher power (Jehovah), as long as you’re being influenced by the powers that be, the “governing body” and those who follow them. If you were raised a Witness, to some to some extent you never felt freedom of choice, a gift god gave all of us, he wants us to utilize this gift. Anymore, each time I walk into a kingdom hall which is very rare, I feel the spirit of oppression. Really for the first time in my life I have felt what it feels like to pray to god without feeling unworthy because of so many manmade rules that go far beyound what is writen from the Jehovah’s Witness hierarchy. Many are the individuals that are having a true spiritual awaking, because of this web site and others that are on the internet. It is not by sheer coincidence that this has happened; it is because the time is ripe for it, spiritually speaking.

Oh hell yes Hansen, me and my fellow immoral sister at the time we had just came out of their little back room (judicial committee meeting) chamber of horrors, we were told to set down in the main auditorium so naturally we sat next to each other we were not kissing or having sex mind you, we were just setting there being good little boys and girls. There was this elder I had known for years he was standing there telling us we could not set next to each other I ignored him, so he yelled at us and demanded that we separate right now! The shit hit the fan, I walked over to him and cold cocked him on the floor then went and sat down again next to her. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Oh god, I have been there and done that what a mistake. I got involved with this lovely, after the fact she felt the insatiable need to confess herself to the elders, I told oh bull shit I don’t want to but I did like a chump. As it turned out, they decided to disfellowship us and they seemed to enjoy doing it a lot. So, after they tell us we will be disfellowshiped for having good whoopee, (she) says she wants to appeal it, I tell them not me, go ahead do your crap I don’t care, (which I didn’t). She drags it out, all the way through the appeal process like the stupid freak she is, rather than just enjoying what has happened, like most women she had to make a big production of it, I looked at her and said oh! Bitch Please!

I stopped attending, my wife wants to check out the Hall
by Leprechaun inyes i gave up the cult like ways of the dubs, but to be fair to my sweet wife, she wants to check out the meetings based on her hearing the phone tie in from my moms house where we live and reading a few tracts, ( i am neither lord nor master over my wife,) so we are going to the hall this morning to listen to the circuit overseers visit and main talk.. after i take her there i asked her if she would go with me to a baptist church near us to see the difference how they treat me there, (i was desfellowshipped then reinstated) and the general over all fellowship that i feel should be a mark of real christianity, - .

I had to chuckle tonight while listening to the tie in.
by Leprechaun ini heard one elder say after everyone tried to sing one of their jacked up songs they have now, he said wow now that is a twisted rendition.. ( think there are a lot of people getting fed up with this direction of worshiping the governing body ) .
