Basically being a Jehovah’s Witness and worshiping Jehovah is two different things entirely, now that I am out of the influences of the Witnesses, I feel I can worship god in spirit and truth unfiltered by the Sociality. Why should the conscious of a few men rule my god given conscious, that god gave to each man and women. I guess it boils down to the fact the Society's chief aim is to be a cult and make us all puppets rather than true Christians. anyone that can not see this fact just needs more time being abused by the Borg.

Getting into Arguments with JW's...
by ForbiddenFruit ini'm trying to fade away, but i sometimes find myself in discussions or arguments with jw family/friends/white haired virgin elders.
now, i usually have them beat on things but i'm not very experienced, so i was thinking if you guys could help me put together a list of completely unanswerable questions to pose to my jw friends/family/elders so they can stop bugging me.
if i keep asking them questions they simply cannot answer, then they might leave them alone.

Yes it is hurtful to talk to family or friends about anything because it seems it always ends up with hurt feelings, them trying so hard to count time on you, or make me feel like basically shit. I hope I never did that to anyone when I was a Witnesses.

Yes the song had a nice melody. “Make the truth your own” it’s a stupid statement the doctrines are owned and conceived by the Watchtower Society most are not even mentioned in the bible, so how can you make it your own, unless that means to give in and be Absorbed by Landrew, brain washed, give in.

What a contrast in outlook there is betweenthose who are part of the Christian
congregation and those who are not!For goodreason, then, Jehovah tells his servants to attend
Christian meetings.Just think what would become of you ifyou were to abandon the protective environment
of the Christian congregation. When the Witness magazine’s says stuff like above “Christiancongregation” it just makes me sick, or that Jehovah is talking to them only and they are somehow special, this kind of talk is an example of mind grooming. It reminds me of the scripture referring to the last days that they will be self assuming, haughty. There is a complete lack of humility with the printed material.

What Do You Value in your Life Now that you Exited the Witnesses ?
by flipper ini was talking with a friend of mine on the board yesterday and the discussion gave me the idea for this thread !
( thanks friend !
) and it seems as we were talking the thought came up that many of us when exiting the mind control of jehovah's witnesses we really come to appreciate the freedom to think how we want and be able to have access to other views which helps us to have a broader scope , or broader world view than just the tunnel vision of the wt society.

I value many things, but here are a few beginning with the most important:
1. Relationship with my daughter’s ,grand kids and friends during the holidays, we did not have spontaneity in our lives being a Witness.
2. Utilizing my own conscious rather than the prearranged collective conscious’s of a bunch of Wankers in NYC.
3. Not having to look over my shoulder anymore worrying what some elder or fellow worshiper may or may not feel or do if they see me light up a Lucky Strike, or anything else I feel like doing.
4. Go to the Casino and play Bingo and enjoy every Friggin moment of it.
5. Not have set through those boring assembles anymore listening to stuff I knew was bullshit all along but my dad made me go anyway, now I am fifty six I can easily tell them to past it on their own walls.

After losing a brother to pancreatic cancer a few years ago it taught me a lesion about such situations, if you know what the persons core belief is then help them to hold fast to it. It is my personal belief that everyone will be resurrected (revived again either here on earth or in heaven). The dying one needs strength to keep his own personal resolve whatever it may be, that he or she has entertained throughout their life, to change change their resolve during that weekend state is unloving and unkind. The great life giver will in the finial analyses return life to everyone who has died by means of the ransom of his son. Soon we, all the living and the resurrected ones can rejoice in having our first real chance at enjoying life as it should be, progressively attaining perfecting in body, heart, and communion with god.
Praise be to God for giving us freely his amazing grace (kindness) in this way.

I have been there done that! It is much better to do these things rather than cap yourself out:
1. Leave the Bitch
2. Quit the Job
3. Ignore the Elders
4. Quit school
5. Greave after the loss of a loved one
6. No one wants’ to be your friend then: Fuck’UM
7. You get disfellowshipped then count your blessings
8. Your children won’t spend enough time with you, refer to number seven (7), just wait
9. Your just so lonely you just ache all the time, well go where there is music you might score
10. Your dying from something bad, Smoke Good Weed
11. The best revenge is living WELL!
12. Suicide is Permanent solution to a Temporary problem
I forgot to mention: Pray it does work for even a sinner like me.

Yes beyond a shadow of a doubt. In every major way my parents choice to raise me a Witness affected me in school and in my marriage the list is long and hurtful.

Hope Beyond Armageddon
The Left Behind series concentrates on the tribulation upon the people, and yes, the Scriptures do speak of a momentous time of trouble coinciding with the return of Christ and culminating in Armageddon. However, the true purpose of Armageddon is to cleanse the earth of the systems of corruption which have been under the control of Satan and his servants. It is important to understand d that the corrupt ecclesiastical and civil systems need to be destroyed-not the ignorant people misled by these systems. "Every valley [the poor, suffering world of mankind] shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill [kingdoms of this world] shall be made low..." (Isa. 40:4) This is not a time to burn in eternal flames billions of good-heated people because they have not known and accepted Jesus. The conversion of these people-" the remainder of men"- will be after the cleansing work of Armageddon. This leveling destruction will prepare the way for the righteous kingdom of Christ and his Church. Then, under their benevolent reign, "the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness" without the fetters of selfish and oppressive powers. Isa. 26:9
Of this time, 1 Timothy 2:3-4 states, God "will have all men to be saved and to come unto the [Greek-full discernment of accurate] knowledge of the Truth." Christ’s "ransom for all guarantees that all who died in Adam will be saved from Adamic death. That is, all will be awakened from the sleep of death and given a full opportunity to learn the Truth of God and His loving character.
In the thousand-year kingdom of Christ "the earth shall [gradually] be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea." (Isa. 11:9) Also Jeremiah 31:34 says of that time, "for they shall all know me from the least of them unto the greatest." Verse 29 shows that, for the majority of mankind, the kingdom will provide the first full, fair opportunity for salvation through the knowledge of Christ. They will no longer die for the inherited sins of their fathers but for their own iniquity (Jeremiah 31:29, 30). Jesus’ ransom sacrifice for "all" guarantees this full and fair opportunity for "all" -praise the Lord! NO ONE will be left behind!
