  i don't iron...nope never...sold the iron and ironing board...now it if doesn't go to the dry cleaners it goes in the dryer with a damp cloth and a prayer.. .

  someone asked simon recently if the name jehovah's witness was copyrighted (referring to part of this forum's name) and it reminded me of a note i had taken while reading old publications at bethel about a quarter-century ago.

  Just saw 'Gladiator' - WOW

  i know it's a few years old now, but i've just gotten around to seeing it.

  what an incredible movie, one of the best, if not the best movie i've ever seen.

  WOW was also my reaction when I saw it the first time! Absolutely brilliant! "Interesting comments - I always had a feeling that JWism in European countries was maybe a little more relaxed then here in the States."

  My guess also. Here in Holland there is no consensus what to watch and what not. Some things are frowned upon by some but there are always people going. Harry Potter, LOTR, Gladiator I saw them all with witnesses from my congregation. Usually the oldies are frowning, we even had an elder condemming James Bond movies, sheesh! The same is true for computer games, i can get the most violent games from elder's kids.

  it's quite interesting, added to a chapter dealing with dynamics of friedman-robertson-walker universes.

  it looks to me like this man doesn't deny the possibility of a diety, and he is a respected scientist, no creation-pseudo-nonsens-scientist.
