Tell me about it! They are all around me! I can't sit in a chair without sqausing one! These pesky critters keep hiding my socks, teasing my cat and making those oooohhh ooooohhh sounds at night. Can't have a beer without them fighting me over it. They are a real nuisance! Pest control can't do a thing about it they say. Anyone can help?

Morals are based on the society and time you are raised in.
Different societies, different times = different morals.
Eventhough many societies have no killing and no adultery laws, those morals are more 'natural', but not absolute.

i've been thinking about esmerelda's post about her daughter being the flower girl of a jws wedding and not knowing about it.
then someone else posted about how they didn't know when their daughter got married.
(can't remember who...) it got me thinking...
I personally would send those pics by mail with a friendly note saying something like:
Here are the pics you asked for. The wedding itself was very cool yadda yadda. You should have been there as family. I also wonder why a person would want pictures of a wedding they deemed too unchristian to attend in person. You could have been there!

ever since i am not a jw anymore, and actually do have a social life to speak of, i hate being alone.
it's sunday afternoon, i have spend the majority of the day catching up on sleep, its my first night home this week, and i am having withdrawal sings, i want to go out damnit.

is it just me, or there others who have no room for religion in their lives?.
i appreciate that others are entitled to their beliefs and opinions concerning such beliefs, but i am amazed at the number of posters, who, after years of being oppressed and mislead by religion, still manage to garner some sense from the whole notion of god / religion / spirituality.. cheeses the cynic.

I always thought that was the reason they told us to wear dresses, because that is how the women dress in business and it was considered the only way to be dressed up.
This is true. They used to look at buisiness clothes, problem is: they got stuck in the 1950's. Back then it was frowned upon for a woman to wear pants. Nowadays it is not. But still so regarded by the society as not modest. i think it will be hard to find a scripture as men in those times wore dresses too.
