isn't smoking just as bad as "defiling the body our temple" with alcohol or drugs legal or illegal?
if i have glucoma will i be disfellowshiped if i smoke pot, since it is a doctor perscribed treatment?
those who smoke how do you justify ruining your health and finances?.
I'm think it might be frowned upon since it is considered a drug (pot), and they may say there are other alternatives. (Are there?)
Depending on how much pot you keep on hand could be a problem. After so many joints on hand I think it is considered trafficking. Is it legal in your Country?

there was an elder that asked me to fix his computer.
i was being nosy and found out he looked at a lot of porn.
he was a nice guy and was at bethel for years... i never said anything about it....
I know a couple of guys who used to have movies of that sort dropped off by a cab service. The cabbie spilt the beans eventually about these guys.

and it really used to annoy me that jesus and john the baptist both had such neat and well trimmed beards in the watchtower literature , how unlikley would that be in reality ?
also they never wore a suit so why do "true christians "have to wear one , is all about appearences by any chance and giving a false impression ?
The watchtower May 1/68 pg 288 gives the discussion on this, Although I think there might be a later one in the early 80's. I recall a talk about this at a
circuit assembly and the next day a lot of brothers had shaved their mustaches off back at there hotel rooms the previous night.

just thought of this.....and was curious.
do they give part of their income to the wts?.
My parents actually signed a paper that they would donate xx amount of dollars over xx amount of time. So they were sure to get there funds regularing each month
when they built there new hall. Alot of people are pretty generous will the KH & WTS donations even if they have little means to make their own ends meet.

when growing up, i don't remember being taken out of school for much, but my ex-wife takes my daughter out for so many holidays.
i just found out that she took her out thursday and friday for valentines day.
is this even legal?
I kind of think it doesn't let kids toughen up if you pull them out of school for every little holiday. A few I know who did the home school thing taught their kids fine. But segregating
them did not do them much good, they could not relate to kids there own age. They were like miniature adults. I guess everything has its up & down side. It's hard to really know what the
right thing is.

lets imagine for a moment, that we were all jw's in good standing here, and saying nice things about the watchtower, i'm sure the watchtower would discorage us from coming here and posting.. why is this?.

even though the bible does not condemn hunting watch them push their personal opinion and trun it into watchtower law.. watchtower dec 1 2007 p.31 "how should christians view hunting?
} "the bible does not condemn hunting or fishing.." {great leave it there..no need to push personal thoughts on brothers, right?

Here we go again PERSONAL FREEDOMS....Why do they continually encroach on peoples rights?
Everything is funneled back to center that being a preacher is everything. Keep everyone in line in the (middle of the cong).

looking back 30 years i now realize that even when i was an elder that something just did not feel.
right about being a jw.
i only had one person to talk to about my doubts, who was a former bethelite.. some of the stories that he told me about the inner workworkings at headquarters really shook my.
This site has really opened my eyes to WT doctrine. How blind I really was.
