  my great nephew, 8 months old, was killed yesterday.

  so far appears to have been murdered by his sitter, a couple with whom my nephew and his girlfriend have been living.

  they beat and drowned this little baby.

  one man down so far.........the old biatch is going strong.. my mom was here for a couple of hours, that was cool.

  of course, i think she was just baby-sitting my dad.. mom looked kinda sad, probably cos we are partying on the memorial.. .

  why is today the only day of the year when i feel guilty about having left the jws?

  it's memorial day and i didn't go.

  my last memorial was in 2006. last year was my first non-attendance.

  We've been made to feel guilty as it meant life or death, I to found it hard for several years but now at this time of the year

  I look up and say a small prayer and reflect on what Christ has done. It's probably more thought than the whole 45 minute memorial

  which really does not talk about Jesus as much as everything else. Give thanks tonight to the fact you have now escaped and can go

  on living a meaningful life with belief in god and not an organization.

  Cheer up it will get easier!

  I need some proof

  the bible says that there will be those who rise up among christians and turn apostate and try to turn others away from the truth.. childofgod.

  i need some proof that the watchtower society and the jehovah's witnesses are the truth.. the reason i need some proof is because my bible says that jesus is the truth.. nowhere does my bible say that any organization or religious denomination is the truth.. .

  a very important reason that i need some proof is because i have rejected the idea that the watchtower society and the jehovah's witnesses are the truth and if i am wrong i want to humbly admit it and return to the truth.. .

  Sorry you will only find this answer contained in their own publications; for yes Jesus did say at John 14:6

  6 Jesus said to him: “I am the way and the truth and the life

  The reason I need some proof is because my Bible says that Jesus is the truth

  Then take the bible over church teaching that interprets it to fit its teachings, the bible was made simple for all to read, you do not need an organization to help to tell

  tell you what God says.

  The Future of the Watchtower Society and the Internet

  it seems that the watchtower society was very ill prepared for the advent of the internet.

  perhaps, some of the governing body thought the end would come before it became a big problem.

  now it is a big problem and is only going to get worse.

  They have really gone hard core against the Internet. But eventually I think inquiring minds will just want to know! So therefore look & scan the net

  in the privacy of their own homes. Although most will be a younger generation a lot of older ones are just not into computers.

  Hypocritical makers of "Expelled" movie expel a biologist from theater

  it's almost too perfect.

  myers, a biologist at the university of minnesota - morris, followed all the rules in order to attend a special screening of ben stein's new pro-intelligent design movie "expelled", but was expelled by the insecure makers of this movie!

  even more ironic, myers was interviewed for and appeared in this movie.

  Myers believes Mark Mathis, who interviewed him for the film "under false pretenses," and who was in attendance at the Mall of America, recognized his name and barred him from attending (attendees had to show identification before being admitted).

  Reminds me of the creation book partially quoting people and then turning it around to their own advantage.

  Myers is entertained by this irony: "Expelled's" closing credits include a thank-you to him. So he knows the filmmakers are grateful for the couple of hours he gave them last year.

  What's more important??

  i'm placing this into the "scandals and coverups" section for good reason, i think.

  a few days ago i had an elder and one of "the anointed" come by to encourage my wife and i to "get back to the meetings before it's too late".

  i proceeded to tell him a few of the reasons why i've lost confidence in the elders and the organization, and he retorted with a real- life example of how i need to see that although the "brothers" can make mistakes, it's best to accept it as "jehovah's will" and play along.

  After 7 years, some other judicial proceedings were taking place involving some other elders, and during this time it was discovered that the former secretary who was disfellowshipped for stealing was actually innocent and was set up to take the fall by the other elders

  I'm not sure what he was thinking (elder that came to visit you) how could that be an encouragement that some ones life went through hell for 7 years. I could only

  think of the stress and anxiety he must of went through.
