  The Smoke and Mirrors of the Annual Meeting

  the annual meeting seems to boil down to an opening talk about an "exciting new" bible museum and a closing talk about an "exciting new" new world translation.

  sandwiched in between were the wt summary, a talk about indoctrinating the children fast/furious, and some "trip down memory lane.".

  why would this "spiritual feast" seem to be anticlimactic?

  these racks have started to appear in recent months st the main line station which I use, first there seemed to be a huddle of dubs standing around them and I did some months ago engage a dub lady in a decent conversation about their UN membership, but in the last couple of months there does not seem to be any of them there at all, one time I saw a guy on his phone, another texting and mostly they seem to stand from a distance gossiping

  i have recently joined the site.

  i was just appointed an elder this summer.

  i started discovering the ttatt (the truth about the truth) last year after putting a few things together myself concerning the leadership and then doing some research online.. i really enjoyed jwfacts.com, jwsurvey, and others.

  Got Accosted by 2 JW Women While Pumping Gas Yesterday - Weird

  absolutely weird.

  minding my own business while pumping gas - this 60 year old short jw lady with fluffed bun styled 60's hair and her 30 year old attractive 5 ' 10 inch jw lady partner came straight up to me as i'm pumping.

  it happened to me a few weeks ago.

  my laptop locked up and i got a message, supposedly from the fbi cybercrimes division, saying that there was a criminal investigation being launched against me for one or multiple infringements.

  and being the tech savvy guy that i am, i thought it was real, and started freaking out.

  had it twice from a UK police constabulary demanding £100 from a Pay Point voucher to unlock it, fortunately my other user was unaffected and done a quick scan to remove it.

  i was raised a jw and as a kid my family made brief mention of apostates in bethel that falsely prophecied about 1975 and were kicked out of bethel.

  i was shocked after i got out and learned that him being removed had absolutely nothing to do with 1975. i think that partial lie spread is what kept my relatives in.

  1975 a big let down/false prophecy, then they are told that a governing body member and many in bethel are found apostate and cleaned out, etc.

  i remember when a gb member spoke at a circuit assembly, how the society would not pick him up for the airport unless he was dressed in a suit.

  i found it a strange thing to say, because i believed him in charge.

  but he was not.. of course, this is common knowledge, but im mostly typing this to make sense of it:.
