  were there ever specific occurrences which you or those around you thought might be the start of "armageddon"?.

  i remember 9/11 being such a day as it happened right as the meeting for field service ended.

  she has had 42 years of training and indoctrination.

  i'm feeling sort of nervous, but also looking forward to it.

  this will be our second scheduled session together, and we never did agree on a topic.. i'm assuming she will come with an agenda and another prepared presentation.

  100% agreeing with CultB, cut these meets down to one more, if you feel you are going to be able to plant some seeds , do some anti witnessing then so be it, reading back on your posts the level of rudeness these two have subjected you to is really quite breathtaking, plus you let them easily control the exchanges and didnt stick to your guns, quit now , they are not worth wasting any more time on.

  perhaps a pointer to nexts weeks arrangment should begin with please dont under any circumstances patronize or use a condescending manor! any other phrases like the "kindergarten" one and I'll call this whole arrangment off. Also I think its vitally important not to let these 2 ladies get any "upper hand" in your interactions with them, tell them I will not be opening JWOrg as I dont have internet coverage(flick the router off) and I would prefer the discussion to be bible based so please dont offer and show me WT publications, this reduces the patronizing effect and leaves you with the upperhand still, better still inform them that you really have a vast knowledge of WT publications printed over the years.

  you done well, she will agree and will be obsessed with the belief that there has been an uniterupted chain of faithful men since the 1st century up until the WTS was selected in 1919 as the channel, zoom in on this to her and demand to know who this group of men were, if she cant answer (she probably wont be able to) then the claim that the WTS is the only group dispensing truths to the Earth today is a rather weak claim, dont let this person get off lightly with this.

  I used to pull out of talks less then 2 hours to go, traffic etc, and sometimes not turn up at all, there was always a "brown noser" waiting to stand in.

  Eccentric Jehovah's Witnesses

  so as not to hijack logcon's thread about crazy things jw's have said to householders, i'd like to start one about just plain old odd jw's.. for example, i knew this dear, dear senior brother who would carry a small bag of peanuts in one pocket of his suit coat and a small plastic bag of brown sugar in the other.. during that time, we would stay out all day long because the territory was extensive.. can't you just picture that precious soul alternately tossing a few peanuts/crumbs of sugar into his mouth as he schlepped from house to trailer, from trailer to house?.

  the householders would usually offer us water, lemonade, kool-aid, or soda pops, so no problem with finding something to quench our thirsts.. those were the days!.

  an very good friend told me a story about he had to "house sit" for a pioneer couple for a couple of weeks, (this was before he came to our cong) and as he was sitting watching some tv one night he began to smell something , he had a walk around the flat and the smell was coming from the bedroom , he could'nt see anything so took a look under the bed , where he found a load of opened containers full of pee!

  Could they walk any slower on the ministry(tm)?

  i was out in my car this saturday as i went to visit my friend.. i saw the jws scattered about mooching down the streets.. i arrived home in a different area to where my friend lives.

  as i opened my door there was an invitation to the mock the christ ritual.

  a group of jws mooched past my house, looked at me rather lethargically and carried on mooching along.. considering they don't know i'm an 'apostate(tm)', they certainly were in no hurry to beg me to come to their mock the christ charade considering that if i don't go jar-hoover will lovingly murder me soon (subject to overlapping(tm) ).. i know we had 'the pioneer walk(tm)' back in the day but puh-leeeeeeeze!

  I remember being out with a pioneer once and after we'd finshed cleaning our septic knuckles he decides to do a "call" so I said where is it? he says its the other end of the entire territory about 4 or 5 miles so I say I'll get the car ready? he says no we're going to walk ! FFS!
