Jehovah's Trumpet - Dangers of Superstition
by cofty inthe latest blast of "jehovah's trumpet" warns us about the irrational nature of common superstitions.... the article then goes on to provide counsel on the dangers of the domonic attacks that often result from unwisely purchasing second-hand objects.
the risk is demonstrated by recounting the real-life story of poor sister lemming and her new ministry bag.. genius satire as always!
please take some time to read the community comments.. .

Do Jehovah's Witnesses fulfil Matthew 24:14 ?
by raymond frantz indo jehovahs witnesses fulfil matthew 24:14?.
one of the most used verses amongst jws is matthew 24:14 .no other denomination has preached the good news of the kingdom with the intensity that witnesses have around the globe.surely this must be the actual fulfillment of matthew 24:14 ,or is it ?
this posts considers the reason why the preaching of the news performed by jehovah's witnesses today is a false sign .let me know what you think.

Sister trying to convince me and herself
by NoMoreFear4Tracy inlong story short i was raised in this cult (but was never baptized) my mother is die hard jdub, i didnt take this "faith" seriously until i was 26, but i had always gone to meeting, was enrolled in the theocratic school and was mediocre in service.
at 26 i made the conscious decision to make this religion my own.
i red the bible cover to cover and used cross reference from the watchtower and other religious sites, with the end goal to get baptized.

for point 2 I always use the often used example if you could conduct a survey where members of the general public are gethered enmasse in their thousands say a main line train station at rush hour or a very busy shopping area and simply ask as many members of the public "what is the Kingdom of God that is being preached by the Jw's for over a 100 years?" the answers will most definalty be "the only things I really know about JW's is that they refuse blood/ bang of my door at the most inconveiant times/ and dont celebrate Xmas or birthdays, they will be the stock answers I can 100% predict it, hardly a world wide campaign preaching about the Kingdom of God is it?

At This Point In Time Would You Ever Subject Yourself To A Judicial Committee?
by minimus ini certainly wouldn't.
and if the elders wanted to have a meeting with me, i would respectfully decline.
if the elders wanted to deal with you, would you talk with them?.

I got suckered into mine due to a number of reasons; firstly I really did think I'd get off with it, secondly I had a family wedding coming up in the proceeding months do a DFing would have been the last thing my sister would have needed to deal with, the biggest problem though was the collosial waste of time the whole thing took, 2 weekends on a Saturday afternoon 2x 4 hours and on the third weekend (appeal) another 2 or 3 hours, if I could turn back the clock I would have had to do exactly the same

could have some fun with point 9, I take it she has not really read this sheet or she knows nothing about the UN Membership, The Malawi/Mexico scandal and the investment stock of companies that are producing defence hardware?(The Rand Cam Engine Corp)

Two pet peeves of mine
by Sour Grapes inthere are two things that just drive me crazy.
one is that the art work in the watchtower is treated like they are actual still photo's taken thousands of years ago.
your will hear comments about look at the smiles on their faces or the sadnees or happiness in their eyes, or notice the reaction of the crowd, etc.

my pet peeve was when I was in my apostacy mode and I purposly did not want to sing the song look up scriptures etc the folks sitting next to you would stretch over to make you "share" theirs.
