jw.org cart days numbered?
by jookbeard inreading a report of an elder in a friends cong has been hiding and spying on the pioneers who seem to have a practise of dumping the cart and finding a local coffee shop, i've noticed that they do this in my local high street as well but this week they seemed to be all huddled around the cart, they've clearly been warned, a vast percentage of the time i see they seem to be more interested in fiddling with their mobile phones and gossiping, is just seems these carts are a means for the pioneers to turn in "easy time" i wonder what sort of figures show how much literature is being taken by the public?
i bet its very minimal.
naturally the gb would say they are a phenomenal success , we clearly know they are not.

"Gentile Times"
by zeb ini am reading again the work.."the gentile times reconsidered" by carl olof jonsson.
it is very heavy going but he uses world sources as used by wt to totally refute the 607 thing.
he sent his studies on this to bethel ny and waited on jehovah.

I enjoyed it, it was one more nail in the coffin of my JW career, The End of the Last Days was also good, I wonder if he ever realizes how many his material contributed to their leaving? -

Site Update: Jan 10, 2015
by Simon ini've made some updates to the user section of the site.
besides some cosmetic tweaks the most notable new feature is the ability to see a listing of the topics someone has posted on - this includes topics they started as well as topics they replied to.. it will look like this when you go to a user page or your own profile page:.

I've noticed that like Jeff cited they omit the 7000 plus hours to recruit 1 person -

Jehovah's Trumpet - Dangers of Superstition
by cofty inthe latest blast of "jehovah's trumpet" warns us about the irrational nature of common superstitions.... the article then goes on to provide counsel on the dangers of the domonic attacks that often result from unwisely purchasing second-hand objects.
the risk is demonstrated by recounting the real-life story of poor sister lemming and her new ministry bag.. genius satire as always!
please take some time to read the community comments.. .

Do Jehovah's Witnesses fulfil Matthew 24:14 ?
by raymond frantz indo jehovahs witnesses fulfil matthew 24:14?.
one of the most used verses amongst jws is matthew 24:14 .no other denomination has preached the good news of the kingdom with the intensity that witnesses have around the globe.surely this must be the actual fulfillment of matthew 24:14 ,or is it ?
this posts considers the reason why the preaching of the news performed by jehovah's witnesses today is a false sign .let me know what you think.

Sister trying to convince me and herself
by NoMoreFear4Tracy inlong story short i was raised in this cult (but was never baptized) my mother is die hard jdub, i didnt take this "faith" seriously until i was 26, but i had always gone to meeting, was enrolled in the theocratic school and was mediocre in service.
at 26 i made the conscious decision to make this religion my own.
i red the bible cover to cover and used cross reference from the watchtower and other religious sites, with the end goal to get baptized.

for point 2 I always use the often used example if you could conduct a survey where members of the general public are gethered enmasse in their thousands say a main line train station at rush hour or a very busy shopping area and simply ask as many members of the public "what is the Kingdom of God that is being preached by the Jw's for over a 100 years?" the answers will most definalty be "the only things I really know about JW's is that they refuse blood/ bang of my door at the most inconveiant times/ and dont celebrate Xmas or birthdays, they will be the stock answers I can 100% predict it, hardly a world wide campaign preaching about the Kingdom of God is it?
