  What's a word that describes the way Witnesses behave as a group?

  i can't recall the word that describes a group that keeps to itself like the witnesses do.

  i thought it was "insular" but i don't think that's the one i'm looking for after reading the definition.

  i remember an elder using the word "clannish" and that has the proper definition but it reminds me of a group of elves.

  my name is stephen and i am new to the forum.

  i am a christadelphian and through my discussions with fellow members of my ecclesia it has inspired me to reach out to other religions to find out exactly what others believe to enhance my own faith and further bring me closer to our heavenly father.

  atheist here Billy, the bibles fables of a so called global flood, original sin, the talking serpent, a prophet being swallowed by a giant fish, sacrifices , plagues, and devils and demons being cast down to earth up to a man performing miracles who came from a virgin birth left me to the conclusion that its all a load of baloney.

  I think we expect a bit more from an organizational exclusively selected by god to to dispense so called truths to the billions living on Earth and who is allegedly imparting holy spirit to this group, instead we see a dangerous high control group whose claim to fame is a history of failed prophecies, embroiled in a horrendous child abuse cover up policy which gets worse and worse, my endearing image of this group is a sickening dirty seedy bunch of misfits and losers.

  "we have no idea about business/religious infrastructure"

  the amount of ex elders, bethelites,special pioneers, circuit and district overseers and of course ex GB member Ray Franz have given us a very special insight into how the infrastructure of of a religious organization such as the WTS , is it any wonder how new light is suddenly adopted when dissenters expose the general stupidity of a vast amount of their doctrines , look what has been dropped by them over the years, and look at the amount of information that is leaked, a rather patronizing comment in all honesty.

  was a man made date when jesus came and that a generation is not 102 plus years.. why not say something like this.when the disciples asked jesus for a sign and the end of the age.jesus gave them a composite sign and said all these things will take place.when-before the people now living(at the end of the age which no one knows)have all died..

  it has to be quietly dumped very soon, not just every year that passes but every day that passes it loses more and more credibility, another subject I love to speak with them about in the rare chance I get to speak with them, they are a laughing stock.

  same as SBF, a business model that remained unchanged from the time that Knorr started to rule up until a mere few years ago, their stubbornness and lack of desire to change is contributing to their terrible growth rates , who even so much as opens their doors these days let alone want to take magazines off two complete strangers. OTWO also sums it up with one word; lies lies and more lies and deception, its laughable really.

  was this one of those jw urban legends at every hall?.

  when i was 7 years old and began attending meetings, one of the first things i heard people say was "don't challenge satan!",.

  i thought, 'what would happen if i challenged satan?
