Hi from England
by victimofdeceit inrecently quit being a jw because i realised that beyond armageddon i was going to be ruled by people who cover up child abuse, not telling the congregations by their letter where the money they donated in the box is going towards paying compensation for legal battles which they caused, and also i was bullied by elders and discriminated against for being homosexual, even though i am not practicing it.
it wasn't until i threatened legal action for a breach of confidence that the elders were deleted.
so through the media and my own personal experience, i realised that they were no different to corrupt businesses in the world.

Smiddy I know who has screwed up, the morons writing this crap for well over 100 years from Russell downwards, mad Freddie didn't really help things did he? and whoever was the brainchild of the "overlapping generation" kind of sealed the fate of their drop into mediocrity, Mr Interweb should be congratulated also

I left well well before the advent of social media, the final Sunday was a huge event though weather it was a group meeting for drinkies or a meal in a restaurant, the younger Twickenham delegates (LOL) would head down to a lovely pub down on the river Thames called The Barney Arms, we drank it dry one year. My lasting memory of a DC was a brief visit in 1995 after I had faded three years previously I only stayed less than an hour it was a scorching day as I was walking down the concourse the closing song of the morning session was being played where I stood I could see a gap in the stadium where thousands were singing and I suppose I felt a little bit emotional and stood there for a couple of minutes listening to the song, I was never to return.

"Even if this wasn't the truth, I would still stay. This is the best life to live..."
by HereIgo ini was recently told this by a jw family member when trying to get through to them.
does this quote indicate that maybe such ones have considered that the jw's may not have the truth after all?
or is that just my wishful thinking?

my old man said this repeatedly , he also like the old chestnut " if I was the only jw left on the planet I'd still believe it" idiot.

This convention talk offended me
by Isambard Crater inhere are my notes from the r.c yesterday, the talk called "jehovah – the greatest example of endurance".
many of you will understand why i found it offensive.. jehovah has taken the hard option of choosing to endure:.
reproach to his holy name.

is it 25k per day that people are dying of starvation? millions upon millions living in absolute squalid desperate poverty but of course the dick waving completion between jeehovah and the devil is far more important

For Christians: What do you think about an Armagedon and the Afterlife
by John Davis ini don't mean for anyone to get into argument over this, i just want to hear what people believe.i hope that no one will mock or argue with someone else about their beliefs, i know that i won't in this topic.. i still believe in a christian god, not what jws believe, but believe that there has to be something after this life.
i am not sure about how armageddon would go, would it be like how evangelicals believe with a rapture or timing or anything, though i still believe in a form of armageddon.
i do think that all good people will go to heaven but i don't believe in a hell.

Sir82, I thought circuit assemblies or whatever they call them are big money spinners because they use smaller facilities or they either own the assembly halls but the expense of using sports stadiums must be astronomical?
