The map of ex Jehovah's-Witnesses and their friends
by Roxie ini am an ex-jw and a member of this forum (not so active lately ;)).
in poland, we created a map of ex-jws (and their friends ;)) to find former friends from the organization or to contact someone living close to them.
many people found each other after many years outside of the organization thanks to this tool.

Lloyd’s new book
by jwfacts ini see there has already been discussion over lloyd’s new book how to leave the jehovah's witnesses.
this includes discussion around his personality, motives and financial gains.
i have written a foreword for this book, because it is an important topic that has not been covered in such a complete format before.

Lloyd Evans' New Book - Is It Really Necessary?
by pale.emperor inso lloyd evans will shortly be releasing his new book how to leave the jehovah's witnesses.
i do enjoy his rebuttals and the stuff he manages to get hold of and leak.
but i'm struggling to understand what he could possibly write to merit a whole book.. all info on how to leave is right here on this forum.

amazing how many still react to Evans being the devil incarnate, he maybe a bit of a Marmite character and I'm sure he'd even admit that he's made mistakes in the past, wouldn't it better to concentrate on the benefits that his book will bring rather than assassinating his character continually? his jwsurvey.org is a truley excellent source in assisting those leaving the cult and thats what we should be focusing on.

Memorial.. To go or not to go
by Emily1987 inso, as some of you will know myself and my husband are in the process of fading.
haven't been to a meeting since beginning of 2017. .
we weren't planning on going to the memorial, but last week my mother broke down and said that we have to go to the memorial even if it's the only meeting i go to this year.

I think its a very important meeting to miss for a variety of reasons, its very much a milestone and loved ones who are jw's and friends etc think that even if you make the memorial once a year there is hope for you, why give them that feeling, miss it because its highly likley youre never show up again in a KH for the rest of your lives, the same is true for me.

If you're expecting a mass exodus anytime soon, FORGET ABOUT IT!
by nowwhat? ini have to make a token appearance at the k.h.
once a month or so and this week went to a different hall.
and believe me they are all still totally oblivious to all the negative news about the pedophiles and shunning that have come under scrutiny by the media and other governments.

personally I never expected some sort of mass exodus, more interested in watching the possible financial meltdown of the Borg, but the exodus continues to be slow but noticeable, even so much as 10 years ago I wouldn't have expected to see the dreadful growth they're experiencing in Europe and a former stronghold Japan, continued KH sell offs, merges and liquidations, unheard off even 10 years ago.

Pioneer School scare tactics
by neat blue dog ini just talked with a pioneer who came back from school and she said that at the end there was emphasis put on two things.. 1: stay loyal to the governing body and their teachings.. 2: beware of propaganda.
they said that in wartime the enemy will use propaganda to break the spirit of or confuse the troops.
they said the same things is happening now, so reject negative reports about the organization.. this pioneer (who is fully pimi btw and enthusiastic about it) said she asked her cotboe about if we really have that problem here.

After leaving the JWs - Has anyone stayed with Christianity?
by rulehayl ini recently made the decision to stop studying with my study conductor, due to a situation i found myself in that led to a high possibility of my unbaptized publisher "rights" being taken away from me.
i have since told my study conductor i have joined a new church (to which she dropped me like a hot rock, of course).... last time i posted on here, i was progressing nicely towards baptism, and was well into it.anyhoo, i like my new church, very hillsong-esqe.
so just wondering if anyone else has stayed the course of christianity after leaving the jws, and if so - where did you go?

have a little nose around the evangelical Christianity scene after leaving the Borg, not for me, atheist all the way now.

Elder to visit me this Saturday to invite for the memorial
by EverApostate injust a brief history of me.
me and my wife got baptized into the jw cult in 1997. we were both protestants before and in fact it was me who dragged her into the cult.
during 2009, another jw friend of mine raised suspicions about his research on the blood and 607 bc theories.

I'd start with the huge child abuse epidemic, mention Silentlambs, ongoing court cases and the huge list of convictions, the rest you mention is important also, give them as much info as you possibly can.
