CEDARS (Again) Is it really about religious beliefs?
by Listener injohn cedars has posted his latest blog "the trouble with apostates (and why it shouldn't put you off becoming one)".
i acknowledge that he is entitled to his opionin just as we are ours but i am disappointed in some of his comments.. at this stage i'll try to be objective about it.
he is defending his own position after all.. what bothers me most is his comments about athiests and christians which he seems to identify as being in conflict with each other.

that's generally how they seem to act Cofty, I've been on the receiving end of this type of behaviour as has Cedars in recent weeks, shame really, no chance at all that we can just try and get on with our activism together, their stupidity and childishness is breathtaking at times. Very early in my fade all those years ago I came across this behaviour from a very well known UK outreach group whose founder died a couple of years back, I always wondered why I was excluded from their activities and thought that my experiences in leaving the WTS could have been a help to others who contacted their group, I believe they had a role called an Area Representative or something very similar, yet I never heard anything from them ever, because I never embraced their version of evangelical christianity, in conversations I'd had with them I was told in no uncertain terms in was imperative I become "born again" and join up with one of their approved churches, I learnt that one former exjw who is a good friend now was subjected to even far worse name calling, ridicule and judgement because he dare question them over some minor doctrine, I wish they could see how many times they go wrong. -

Sometimes I think Jehovah's Witnesses overuse the word "historic"
by slimboyfat inat the beginning of the may broadcast stephen lett said this was a historic broadcast.
he explained that every member of the governing body had hosted a show and they were starting over again.
that was all the explanation he gave.

I wonder if they ever think the figure 7000 hours could be historic? the time it takes a member of the public to be recruited -

Feeling rejected
by Esmeralda001 injust a little disclaimer: english isn't my first language (i'm from france) thus the poor writing skills.here is the situation: i'm not a jw.
however, i'm in the process of becoming one.
in fact, i'm studying with the jw's, and i'll proceed to become an unbaptized publisher as soon as i finish the first book.to make a long story short i was introduced to the truth when i was 18een.

Hi, I'd stop the study as soon as you can, and try and forget becoming an unbaptized publisher, this group will bring non stop problems and issues in your life if you continue your association with them, they are incredibly dishonest, blatant liars in fact, hide more issues to regards to child abuse, well over 100 years of failed prophecies and doctrines, their hypocrisy is breathtaking, look to another interest, take up a hobby, your physical and mental health are really at risk the longer to associate with them. -

its always the first thing to be dumped when we fade then the book study, pointless , wasteful and utterly demoralising, the stats still show it takes almost 7000 hrs for a member of the R&F to call on somebody and recruit them, the idiots at HQ know this as well, their obsession that it "keeps the R&F busy" has turned to haunt them as well, because they made an equally wasteful pointless waste of time by introducing the cart work, do you think they would ever learn? I auxiliary pioneered a couple of times and was generally a double figures a month publisher but after a while as soon as I got into the car I was looking for a spot of lunch then it was dumped completely. -

How Many JWs Really Believe Everything They Are Told?
by minimus ini think that 80% of jws do not truly believe in what they are taught .
the vast majority stay in because of family, friends, ignorance and a lack of caring about any of the facts regarding the "truth".
many people are lazy.

I think its far far less, I'd say only a few percent really dont believe it , if the order from HQ came next week to drink they Cool Aid they's be ordering tons of the stuff, how many times have you heard the old saying "if I was the only jw left in the world I'd still believe it?" -

ATT: WARNING
by EJ257 inplease be aware of everything that is happening around the world at this moment in time.
this goes to anyone, ex-communicated, removed, serving, believer and non.
at this point in my observations i have realized many religions/ideologies know there is some sort "end of time" or a transition into a new order of living in this earth.

insanely close! what are we living in the last days of the last days? don't worry buddy we've heard it all before, the world was on the brink of thermo nuclear war in 1963 with The Cuba Missile Crisis, we had the end coming in 1975, The world was on the brink of a communist invasion, but then the break up of the Soviet Union came and The Berlin Wall fell! there are over 7.3 billion people on this planet and 99.9% of us lead quiet peaceful normal lives and we all return one day to the dust that we came from, the Earth will be here for a good few million years yet, dont worry your little self too much about it. -
