How many of you actually KNOW the bible OR God???
by Mark Zyche insince jws are sooooooo terrible and full of lies.
what the heck do you think about fat santa, and and days later the celebration of janus?.
since you seem to be so good at looking at the "lies of the watchtower" what do you people think of your lives now, religiously speaking?

Mark, your patronising condescending gibberish isnt going to get you many followers whatever your intentions are, for the record I'd say a vast percentage of the folks here are reasonably pleased with their lives, nothing is perfect but to still be tied to a dishonest, dangerous high control cult like the WTS any alternative is better. I believe we do absolutely understand you here, you speak very angrily and soon the hate speech will appear, we've seen it all before. -

Blood ban is way out there as No1 , joined together with the older bans on vaccinations and organ transplants they are only a call away from a Jonestown style massacre. Their protection of paedophiles comes second, I wouldn't have the ban on birthdays/xmas etc in the list at all, they are not really dangerous in the forbidding of them. -

Ex JW's - Which Christian denomination are you with now and why?
by Truthexplorer inthis is a question for ex jw's who have joined another christian faith group.
the purpose of my question iis to find out which christian faith group you chose after leaving watchtower and what convinced you to travel this new spiritual path you are on.
i am interested to know because i personally would like to find a genuine faith group where i can feel true christian liberty as i initially thought i had with the witnesses.

dabbled with a bit of evangelical Christian churches in the early days of my leaving, but found those so called Christians almost as judgemental and radicalised as the loons I'd left behind fro the WTS, a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire, I urge all exjw's I meet or those close to leaving to think very very carefully about going to an evangelical church, very much atheist these days. -

Another heavy load :Literature Cart Witnessing
by RULES & REGULATIONS injehovah's witnesses standing on a street corner publicly promoting the propaganda of the governing body!another ridiculous form of "forced loyalty" to jehovah.
"dirty work" that the wtbts make witnesses go through.preaching work '' lite''.putting more heavy loads on members while the ''faithful and discreet slave'' preach from warm studios without the humiliation.
what an embarrassment!.

Is the Pioneer School being eliminated?
by wannaexit ini heard from the semi reliable source that the pioneer schools will go the way of the dodo bird next year.. i could see this happening.
it used to be that you went to the the pioneer school once.
then they allowed dubs to go every 5 years.

I do see it, another WTS vanity project that is both pointless and non productive and badly thought out, 2 weeks with your noses forced into WT publications is a tired and lazy way in equipping people in the field who in all honesty will forget a vast amount of the course in a matter of hours and days, another example of the WT continuing to do something that has ridiculous real time results, how many hours does it take to convert a member from the D2D? 7000 plus hours? lunacy! -

Has Watchtower financial strategy taken a very dark turn?
by slimboyfat inas shepherdless pointed out on another thread, the watchtower business model of using free labour to produce and sell books and magazines for profit started to break down when charging for the literature ended in 1990, and has now begun disintegrating completely in the face of the internet and declining donations.
over this same period there has been a noted increase in hardline rhetoric on disfellowshipping and pushing early baptism.
might these hardline trends actually be related to their money woes?
-

the WTS never ever do things that seem logical or appear that they have used common sense, an extreme hard line stance will simply haemorrhage more members, we know this, can they survive for decades with very little contributions coming in? running Warwick, Walkill ,Patterson etc will continue to be incredibly expensive do they sit on their nest egg in this coming years? -

What are the economics of cart witnessing?
by slimboyfat inon another thread shepherdless sketched out the past business model of jws and its demise.
until 1990 they were a straightforward publishing business with the tremendous advantage of free labour in production and free distribution agents.
since then they've been relying on donations for literature to keep the old model going.

clearly they cannot be making any money at all, their literature is distributed for free and every time I see a cart I pick up a couple of mags to take home to throw in my recycling bin, I even ordered a silver sword bible a few weeks ago and true to their word they had one for me the following day, I took it and walked back to my car I wasn't going to give them a penny.
