Reasons for NOT Returning

i left the watchtower in the winter of 2008. my first year out was by far the most difficult.

i had every intention of returning to the watchtower for the very purpose of being able to speak with my friends and family.

i had already concluded that the teachings were not the "truth" [after reading crisis of conscience] so coming back was more emotional then anything.

Mark; its not a game with rules here, I have nothing to hide, been out many years and seen still further false prophecies from the WTS, over lapping generation, the change of 1935, blood fractions, and there will be still more to come, dont you see a pattern?

Mark; your own magazines and literature of the last 130 odd years has clearly defined the meaning of "false prophet" they are dissected , your claim of being "the channel, Gods mouthpiece on Earth, the faithful and discreet slave etc" is quite strong language, the problem is the "channel" has a dreadful record of failure. Do you think the "channel" that joined with the United Nations could be deemed to be another failure?

Mark, your patronising condescending gibberish isnt going to get you many followers whatever your intentions are, for the record I'd say a vast percentage of the folks here are reasonably pleased with their lives, nothing is perfect but to still be tied to a dishonest,dangerous high control cult like the WTS any alternative is better. I believe we do absolutely understand you here, you speak very angrily and soon the hate speech will appear, we've seen it all before.

i was able to get away with my whole family for xmas and new years up to maine away from everything.

Blood ban is way out there as No1 , joined together with the older bans on vaccinations and organ transplants they are only a call away from a Jonestown style massacre. Their protection of paedophiles comes second, I wouldn't have the ban on birthdays/xmas etc in the list at all, they are not really dangerous in the forbidding of them.

Ex JW's - Which Christian denomination are you with now and why?

this is a question for ex jw's who have joined another christian faith group.

the purpose of my question iis to find out which christian faith group you chose after leaving watchtower and what convinced you to travel this new spiritual path you are on.

i am interested to know because i personally would like to find a genuine faith group where i can feel true christian liberty as i initially thought i had with the witnesses.

dabbled with a bit of evangelical Christian churches in the early days of my leaving, but found those so called Christians almost as judgemental and radicalised as the loons I'd left behind fro the WTS, a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire, I urge all exjw's I meet or those close to leaving to think very very carefully about going to an evangelical church, very much atheist these days.
