  Did you KNOW Ray and Cynthia or the legal copyright holder? Only a few maybe had limited contact.

  i have known all of them over the last 15 years, talked at length with them, and knew what their wishes were, the copyright holder and spouse spent even more time with them socially and helping them set up their arrangements for when ray and cynthia passed.

  i don't believe that anyone else on this board or others was a confidant.

  there is no need to prove it to anyone but the copyright office which is satisfied with this.

  but if legitimate legal downloads had been made available from some time back it would have counteracted the bootleggers need to offer copies, how many times does this need to be repeated, its basic common sense and logic,its like shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted and needn't have been like this

  JW Expressions We Hate

  i was browsing through stuff on jw.org recently and ran across some expressions that really grate on my nerves: loyal love, loving-care, and loving-kindness, as in: "please exercise loving-kindness toward your servant.

  " who talks like that?

  they must be relics of the fred franz era.

  I cant think of any that I would be pleased to hear ever, during my JC the jumped up PO of my cong was summoned to testify against me and did he enjoy so, his particular phrase which he like to use on me was "he may have been in the truth but he was never part of the truth"

  speaking with inlaws i another congregation today who said exactly what is being said in our own hall.

  the trolly work is long and boring and no one even notices they are there anymore but walk right on by.

  jehovah really is speeding up the work lol.

  I had to almost choke on my tea about a particular experience by one of the brain dead who was explaining that the general public love to have to WT and Awake magazines to read on the trains/tubes and buses on their commute to work every morning! not only is that boast such an utter lie I take it she has not been on a train in the rush hour,even the free newspapers struggle these days, 99.9% of people are glued to their smarphones with earphones plugged in their ears

  i think that i became a jehovahs witness because of my immaturity.

  i had some quirky personality traits, and i joined finding that i fit in because, as i said to myself: these people get me.

  I really do get where you are coming from D_J, years of indoctrination, arguing, standing up for what you think is right no matter how absurd it is are personality traits that we take to our graves, I remember the first couple of years after coming out of the WTS and trying to assimilate and be accepted within the new group of friends I had made, and how awkward and difficult I must have been, I found personal relationships hard to maintain and wanted to remain isolated , I would often turn down requests to gatherings and party's etc because I preferred to be on my own, the lady you spoke of who uttered those words " your jehohvahs witness is showing" I'm sure would have been often spoken about me, but behind my back, and my new group of friends new nothing much about my previous life really at all and if they did you definitely didn't understand it . I sometimes wondered how they perceived me , sometimes I thought and felt I was a weird loner, maybe I still am

  so true, the idiots that seem to be the decision makers with the WT were years late with this so called way of reaching the masses , the only excitement they get in my local town is when I walk past them and take their written trash that gets dumped as soon as I get home, an utterly pointless waste of every ones time, why can they wake up?

  if jw`s come knocking at your door, do you open it & engage in conversation, tell them to sod off, or just not answer the door?.

  my husband`s has asked me not to answer the door to them if he isn't here?

  he hate`s the fact that they make a point of calling when they know he will be at work.

  Drugs....why?

  im new here, so go easy with me!

  just wanted to know if any one has any idea's or personal experience in regard to drug and alcohol abuse in former jw's.

  all the one's i know have just lost the plot when it comes drugs and alcohol, especially drug use.

  never knew any members of my old cong that had drug problems but certainly there was a big drinking culture in the entire cong/circuit and over the whole of the UK , we had a brother join our cong some years ago, very zealous, good speaker and eventually was made an elder, he used to be proud of the fact that he was a recovering alcoholic who hadn't touched the booze in many years and would openly talk about his past, he was a carpenter and did a lot of work in the homes of members of the cong, he also used to pick up work from non jw neighbours of the houses he was working on including my neighbour, my neighbour was not only a very good buddy but my drinking pal, he used to tell me that not only did he go out drinking with this elder he'd seen him on numerous times coming out of the liquor store with with bottles of whiskey! he was carrying on as an elder still spinning the same old story about how he'd beaten his battle against the booze !

  how is a "video placement" done? forwarding a download for someone? surely there cant be many of those placed? potential recruits can download for themselves?
