they dont really know their bibles Bleak, they have a handful of proof texts that support their main doctrines namely the monotheistic belief they support and the claim that they alone are preaching the good news of the kingdom which they are completely in the wrong with anyway, after I left the WTS and believe me I thought I was a good student of the bible I found that I really wasn't, one can say the same of all cults.

a question after my first JW meeting
by bleak ini attended my first jw meeting recently.
first, i would like to say what i agree with about the jehovah's witnesses beliefs and practices.. 1. they don't consider israeli's as "god's chosen people" and they don't worship israel as some holy land filled with righteous jews (although there are some there) as most so-called "christians" (christian zionists) erroneously believe they are instead of the "hypocrites" and "vipers" that it is actually filled with.. 2. they don't celebrate "holidays" like easter and christmas which are, in fact, remnants of earlier pagan practices.. 3. they don't put nation before god and christ.
they don't believe in war or going to war because of some crazy government/cia secret agenda.

GodsWill,1, whatever issues you are trying to cope with three issues you need to come to terms with if you are going to make progress with them are; there are no demons, there is no god, and no amount of praying is going to help you, let me know how you get on, your thinking is stuck in the Dark Ages, try moving into the 21st century

Leaked 2018 Elders Training Video RE: Elders Reviewing Pionieers

quite frankly im disturbed at the lack of love and compassion.
especially for the first sister they talk about!.

this elders meeting is quite ridiculous, firstly elders meetings are not conducted this way, generally they are bad tempered, tense, stressful affairs, no way are they conducted in a calm civil manor like these three morons are behaving, secondly are they really concerned if sister x isnt making the required amount of hours? I very much doubt it? one other part I noticed was to quote " we really must be trying to maintain the high standards that pioneers have to adhere to" what a joke that is 99.9% of all R&F and auxiliary/regular pioneers canvassing are either spent aimlessly walking around the territory, driving around for hours windscreen witnessing or standing by the stupid carts gossiping or messing around with their smartphones, and as if all R&F/pioneer hours are really a true reflection, they are all mostly exaggerated ,they really are a joke, I couldn't watch that video with a straight face.

An Active JW Sister Modelling For Me
by pale.emperor insince leaving the borg i jumped both feet first into classes i've always wanted to do but was never "allowed" to.
two of which are life drawing and photography.
i've been studying for almost two years now and have seen more nude men and women in our classes than i care to remember.. today in the photography studio i was working in with three others (two women, one man) we were told we had a new person modelling for us.

My fading suffered a miscarriage
by Ireneus ini thought of successfully fading out, but suffered a miscarriage last week.
i gradually decreased the number of meetings i attended.
in the latter half of the year it became once a month, then once in two months, once in three months ….. last week, two elders who visited me, after their bla..bla..asked: “where will you go leaving the motherly organization—the only truth now available on earth?”.

welcome Ireneus, you replied to their stupidity with intelligence and respect, the problem is you would have activated the process of a JC , you probably realise that and I hope it works out well for you and you dont stand to lose too much, please keep us updated.

Why the meetings are boring and uninspiring
by UnshackleTheChains ineach individual may have their own views as to why they feel the meetings are boring and uninspiring.
in my case i find the midweek meeting so, because of the constant emphasis on pitching watchtower literature.
its just monotonous and one big yawn.. i watch other christian faiths where they open up a chapter of the bible and discuss it's contents.

the PT and WT study were always mind numblingly boring, 2 hours of utter drivel and the PT generally given by a very poor public speaker, at least the TMS and SM had more sections to it, to think I've not had to endure one for 25 years
