  The end of the JW's within my family is near (relatively, and God willing). The only 2 remaining are my mother and father in law. They are not quite “elderly” yet. But, will be... soon. For them I wish good health, long life, and the comfort of their religion. For the current and future generations... It is our responsibility in education, guidance, and prevention...
  
  I would like to say someday we will all be free..
  In historical observation, however... I see our actions indicating otherwise...

  Struggling with the concept of a "God"

  this topic, i'm sure, has been discussed many times, but today i am really contemplating the concept of god.. i remember vividly the old testament; the israelites slaughtering everyone in their path, men, women and children at god's direction at jericho, leaving no one alive.

  i remember thinking then as a child how cruel that was.

  there are many other examples.. then reading the news today i read a section in the world news about india.

  look at all the "bad guys" wearing headbands!

  and one nice, but brainwashed, sister commented tonight that head bands remind her of people that wanted to "do their own thing".

  i just bought tofu recently, i thought i would try it, so i would like to have a very simple tofu recipe.

  I would agree... (you already have some, but if it is not... in the future...)...
  Buy firm or extra firm tofu. Soft and Silken tofu is more difficult to work with for the beginner than the firmer stuff and requires more knowledge and Creativity. You can substitute tofu for any meat / poultry / fish. It can be cooked in a variety of ways... Stir fry, bake, grill, bbq... Tofu is very good at absorbing flavors. Cut it up into ¼ - ½ in cubes, strips, whatever shape you desire. Marinade in whatever you would with beef / chicken (obviously lends itself to Asian style spices). Drain. Cook at a med – med-high heat... In a pan or wok generally with 1 table spoon of oil. It will brown. Serve with rice / needles and vegetables... Also works well for making things like.... burritos. I've made tofu stuffed ravioli , Vegan tofu and vegetable lasagna....
