this is what my spouse said after i mentioned issues i have seen on here...the bs being combined, the bethelites being reassigned, the possible termination of co's, etc... she said if that i didn't want anything to do with religion that i shouldn't even be on this site looking into issues such as these.

it has made me to wonder if she isn't right.

am i just trying to reason with myself or am i seeking to avenge myself against the wbts?

Just like everyone else said - you can't just move on. We were in a cult.

Why am I still on JWD? I left for a couple of years, with no lurking. Just got tired of it, if you know what I mean. IT's a phase, and I'll probably have another one once I'm sick of re-hashing the old bunk. It's a cycle for me.

Jim,

They already do invisible study's. They go over a magazine, or tract at the door and count it as a bible study. Pity the homewoner doesn't know.

I understand the expression, "Invisible Growth." It's what I have seen in the past several years as the number of JWs (as published by JWs themselves) continues to climb from a little over 6 million. Now I see the WTS is claiming a membership of 7 million. Yet all the anecdotal evidence I see (in the United States) is that KH attendance is way off, the number of congregations is not growing, and the attendance at dub meetings is about the same as it was 10-15 years ago. A lot of people have left. They've been replaced mostly by dub kids growing up and getting baptized

I've said it before - the world population is growing in leaps and bounds. Yet the dubs numbers are not. Correlate the world population with the growth in witnesses and I think you would see that line go way down. And how long do these new people stay? Not long - trust me on that one.

Why did witlesses ever get excited over that crap? It's the same old drivel, same old crappy paper, just different pictures. People don't care.

The new one we have in canada is geared towards natives. Can you believe it? Very sad.
