Eastern spirituality/philosophy is something I've always been drawn to. When I was a hard core dub, it was all about striving/working towards the new system, a future goal. All that hard work and stress, meetings, field service, guilt for not doing more made me realize "I'm not happy NOW, the present. The new system may not come in my lifetime, and I want to be happy NOW." I did a little research regarding JWs and am so happy I did. It was hard at first finding out that, yes, I had been duped and no, I don't have all the answers to life's perplexing questions. But I'm okay with that now. Being happy NOW is all good. Anyone who is interested in eastern spirituality/philosophy should check out Ken Wilber's integral institute. He has authored many books on philosophy, spirituality and psychology. Looking forward to zen part living 2. (ps i've also been practicing that demonic yoga for several years!)

Zen living part one (summarized)
by JimmyPage inmodern life is complicated, zen living is simple.. zen living means living fully in the present moment.. by practicing zen you can spring clean your brain, get to know yourself again, and learn how to pay attention.. zen is as simple as sitting and experiencing without attatchment, attitude, or opinion, and it has been so since ancient times.. zen living helps you learn moderation, minimize chaos, get organized, cultivate self-knowledge, and feel serene..

Fasting is on top of my list to do things. I have a wonderful book entitled 'yoga for the digestive system' (by Dr Swami Shankarardevanananda) . It mentions how a great deal of energy goes into digesting food and how as westerners we overtax our body by overeating/drinking too much. Fasting gives the body time for thorough cleansing. The illustration was given how animals and children, when unwell, go off their food. In that instance loss of appetite is a natural warning sign designed to help nature's repair work. I'm going to make fasting a regular thing. By the way, I have a Born-Again co-worker who regularly fasts. What's up with that?

Hey JWfacts. re. lies subheading and the Watchtower claiming not to have changed doctrine to a previous viewpoint. The generation change is also one of these flip flops, the society returning to the viewpoint held in 1927. Details and references can be found in V's/WT comments generation video. Thanks for everything by the way, I cannot even begin to express how valuable your site is.

My all time favourite, Mr Gary Numan. He toured Australia once 28yrs ago and my die-hard dub mum wouldnt let me see him in concert (broken hearted at 15). A few weeks ago, my daughter's friend who is an editor for a music website/magazine told me he's touring in march 09 and " I've got a phone interview lined up with gary WOULD YOU LIKE TO INTERVIEW HIM? " "HECK YES I WOULD" So I spoke to gary for ages, a super nice guy. AND i already have my tickets. (Mum, I'm an apostate and im seeing Gary Numan this time, just try and stop me!)

How many of you would still be "Blinded" by the JW's had it not been forJWD
by superman injust conducting a little survey for all of you active members and lurkers of jwd.
just simply proving the importance and support of this website.
for me personally, while i was still in jw land i had always ahd doubts but still generally believed it.

Not me, Had doubts way before jumping onto the internet. Sites like freeminds and jwfacts reinforced that I wasnt a total nut job in doubting the WTBTS, and JWD showed me that I WASN'T ALONE. Priceless when all you have known crumbles around you.

Was reading jw facts thread posted in June and there was speculation of blood eventually being viewed as transplant. Page Eight of 'How can blood save your life?' Para.5 " Yet a transfusion is a tissue transplant" Then turn to top of page28. It reads " The Witnesses do not feel that the bible comments directly on organ transplants; hence, decisions regarding cornea, kidney, or other tissue transplants must be made by the individual Witness". Have I stumbled on something here? ps Love your site jwfacts.
