this is a loophole i have utilized, to keep an open channel of communication with family members in the organization.. i want to clarify with everyone: i do not hold any doctrinal ideas, theology, ideology, opinions expressed in any form by the wtbts.
therefore, to simply put, i do not believe in the wtbts in any way, shape, or form.

look at these children - they have not eaten anything this morning .

Wow, and my wife thinks I have an ego. I always thought of Jehovah as a middle aged white man who just got laid off from his job of 20 years. He's going to blame everyone else for his problems. He needs to curse the black man for his own inequities. In the midst of his drinking binges he floods the earth and orders civilizations murdered in his name. Something dangerous going on and he sends his son to take the chance.

Did Satan prove God wrong? a possible bibical flaw
by Leander inmost people are familiar with the account of job where satan makes the claim that the only reason humans serve god is because of selfish reasons.
god allowed satan to test this theory on job, so job was beset by numerous trials but he refused to give up on god or blame him in anyway.. it would appear that satan was proved wrong in this particular bible account but was he really?
would the majority of mankind follow jobs example if they were faced with similar trials?

Why is the debate still going? How right does Satan need to be? In this thread we've come to the conclusion that at least 99% of everyone on the planet are on Satan's side. Is the debate still going on because God is a sore loser?

Organized Religion
by blindfool ini've been thinking about this for a few days now and decided i'd go ahead and post this topic.
i know this may offend some loyal posters out there, but i'd like to throw this out for discussion.. is there something inherently wrong with a religion just because it is organized?.
does the ex-jw community understand that all churches don't feel that their members must tow the party line?

I think most here don't believe organized religions are all the same. However, they all share one thing in common. They all have set code of Dogma made by men. It is great that you can have dissagreements with the Dogma but that dogma will still be there after you're done. If you're honest with yourself and say you don't care about the Dogma but like the people and most of the teachings then have fun. WTS falls short because they believe that they are infallable and thus everyone must agree with everything they say.

How JW's Blew My Missus' Bible Study...
by Englishman init's true, she really did have someone call to take a bible study with her.. it had been set up by my parents who had convinced her that it was her duty to look into the religion that their wayward son (moi!
) had rejected.. she studied for 3 or 4 weeks, she eventually became frustrated with the methods that were used, she said that she didn't mind them supplying some answers, but she was blowed if she was going to allow them to supply the questions as well!.
it all ended unhappily, as she was voicing her opinion to the lady "study conductor", her little boy (a horrible spoiled brat) emptied out the contents of hl's handbag onto the floor, revealing a half pack of benson & hedges king size.. the woman was appalled at this, and was stupid enough to tell hl that she would have to give it up if she was going to get into the kingdom.

Yeah, my wife had to break all the nice guy outta me. Now, it's 2002 buddy and I treat everyone exactly the same. Women get no special anything at all. I think the whole touchy feely thing with women has led to a state of constant victimhood. Of course it is good to see that the face of the WTS showed itself before the real programing could begin. Now if I could just get my mom out of the Borg all would be good. She said her reason for staying in is that, "JW are the only ones to explain the kingdom of God to her in a way the made sense." Any ideas?

i have to admit that i am feeling a bit vulnerable and fighting the impulse to rip it off.
there were two issues on the ballot however that i felt it important to support.

Don`t know much about the bible!

my good friend quotes read it and gave me a brief description about it and said that if the research done on this book was correct it gives great sceptacism on bible facts and credability!
now i believe one example was the dude who wrote the first five books in the bible (moses i think but i can`t remember) but in the fifth book it says that he lived to be 900 so odd years in the third person revealing that it was not this person who wrote these books?.

I've read it through twice. It is poorly written but it has some interesting stories with sex, incest, adultry, genocide (allot), torture, drunkeness, gods love of watching us suffer, there's a good guy and a bad guy although it is hard to tell which is which sometimes. It gets a little dry in the Maderat begat Ballsack who begat Funbags who begat Napsack and so on.......
